Well the least thing is that they will make a small incision, and do some shaving surgery with a small device one knee at a time. After the worked on knee is better, they do the next knee. Most likely be able to go with local anesthetics and pain killers and go home that same day each time.

That's good news Len me old mate!

I had valves put into my lungs a few weeks ago. the difference they have made is amazing! I can almost run upstairs now and I am getting back into music and singing, something I really enjoyed to do years ago.

So I can empathise with what you have been and are going through. Take care mate.

Awww thanks all! well, if the surgery helps end the pains for walking, I can lose the excess weight and lose more pills from my life!

Len, I know that a lot of times when someone starts comparing their own problems to another's, it makes the other person feel belittled, please don't think I am trying to "one-up" you on health issues here. I only mention my own so you believe i can truely sympathize.

My legs don't work (although recent surgery has put me on the road to recovery for that)

I was born with a tiny heart (i am terrible about remembering proper medical terms) i have actually had two heart attacks. One very serious one.

I am also just too small in general. If I am not very careful about my diet, i can get as low as 75 lbs or so, which is very unhealthy...

I also have mild brain damage which causes me to have a severe stutter, speak very erratically, and be very forgetful.

Despite all this I am (in my brothers words) like the bastard child of Fluttershy the pony and a rainbow.
In other words, even on my worst days I smile, constantly. I do this because I love God and I know he loves me, and also because I love my family and friends and I know they love me. I keep these thoughts at the forefront of my mind. I just try to make my blessings the focus in my life.

You're probably older and a little wiser than me but i always feel very compassionate toward people that suffer endless physical ailments like myself, I really hope this helps a bit and I will be praying for you. <3<3<3

Thank You Evee, yes, that is a long list of ailments for one so young. We all pick odd paths to follow before our souls enter our meatshells. I was once fairly healthy, and it has been taking getting used to having to slow down, not do as much as I was used to doing. The knee surgery will help I think with reducing the pains of walking.

As for your own recovery, take it slow and easy. Wink

Oh no.... Len, have any doctors given you exercises to help with that sort of thing? Sometimes lying on your back and pulling your knees up to your chest can gently stretch it... not sure about spasms though, I can send healing in a few hours for you...

Damn Len that's not good mate. If the pain is too severe chew on some willow bark, tastes horrible but it's natural aspirin. But it won't irritate you stomach so much as the synthetic stuff does.

Thanks all. I used aspercreme and slept a lot as I do a lot of "damage control" via sleep.
still is spasmed a bit, done some stretches and rubbed the creme on the affected area.

As for the knees, it sounds for now, due to the weight issues more like a scrape and smooth, maybe some work on the acl to be done. I will be doing stretches, and I will try to do the legs lifting on my back in bed to see if that also helps.

Bump in the car coming home from the stores yesterday really jolted the spot and the muscles on both sides clutched, that was the worst of the day, also had to walk a bit hunched over, definitely made me feel 50 going on 90! LOL!
