History of the Celts... Empty History of the Celts...

A series of vidz showing the history of the Celts! 6 parts.

A somewhat romantic look at the Celts. The Irish are not Celts although there are some descendants of the Celts in the far south of Ireland. The Irish are Scottae.

I didn't know the Irish are Scottae!
I have always been fascinated by the Celts.. I was obsessed with the myth of King Arthur fighting the Saxons.. the reason why I came to England.

I'll try to get some time tonight to watch the documentary.
Very Happy

Yep they are Ags. The Gaels came from the Steppes of Russia and the Celts came from further south. They were known as the Scythians in Ukraine, at the end of the last Ice Age. Gaelic and Cymric are related languages but are not mutually comprehensible.

When the Romans invaded England the Celts moved into the hills of Wales and some crossed over to the sth of Ireland. The Irish claim that they are Celts is a myth but they didn't want to be associated with the Scots of Scotland.

history of Ireland and Scotland in one sentence: The Scots invaded Ireland, the Irish invaded Scotland, the Scots invaded Ireland again and England invade both.

Fergus, the first King of Scotland, lived in County Armagh.
