Deserts are the most haunting of all the Earths landscapes. Sometimes we think of them as vast empty spaces, but that view is wrong in so many ways. See the people, wildlife, and culture of these incredible places.

Deserts are a living ecosystem too. Rich in fauna and flora. Some are dry, (Atacama, Gobi, Sahara etc.). some are cold like the highlands of Antarctica and Greenland.
