Thorium is much safer than Uranium and doesn't leave a long-lasting dangerous by-product!

Gonna watch this later, but I know Thorium was the better fuel, and also for a more peaceful world, but the Cold War they wanted bombs, used the guise of cheap electric power to cover the making of more bomb materials, What a twisted world eh?

I will debate that Low level ionizing radiation is harmful as he seems to not know the medical aspect of such exposure, it is not just cancer, but other organs can have issues, such as the heart, liver and other endocrine parts. BUT I would feel better if power was from Thorium over uRanium. It is a documented issue for workers in nuclear power plants, and weapons to develop heart issues from the leak of such radiation specifically. Thorium could help end such.

We should go with the reactors of thorium, not Uranium.

Yep Len. Even long-term exposure to low level radiation can and do cause long-term health conditions to the operators. Which is why even X-ray techs use a heavy lead coat!

Thorium produces a hell of a lot less of that radiation and is therefore safer to the operators.

And that is why it is a shame the Uranium heads won not the Thorium advocates, imagine, Thorium reactors these past few decades, and with the cars, Ford envisioned ethanol fueling his designs, but Big Oil Rockefeller could not stand that.

Imagine a world where they went with cleaner and safer energy like that, methanol/ethanol burning cars and other vehicles, as well as Thorium power reactors for our electricity and maybe even cars?

Ever noticed that John D is never smiling in his photos? He looks like he's just had a mouthful of Tabasco sauce!

He was the architect of the "Urban Sprawl" and our love affairs with wheels!

One would have thought his empire raking in so much money back then would have had him smiling and laughing to his bank run by his pal JP MOrgan
