Guns On Campus Bill Passes In Texas
Posted: 06/05/2015
MCRAVEN TEXAS
Fifty years to the day after America's first mass college campus shooting took place at the University of Texas at Austin, a new law will take effect permitting students to carry guns to class at public Texas colleges.
Although the campus carry law represents a victory for gun advocates in the battle over allowing firearms on campus, the activists who pushed the bill see it as a defeat, while gun control advocates are lauding the measure.
The bill cleared the Texas legislature on Sunday, and Republican Gov. Greg Abbott intends to sign it into law.
Under the legislation, students who are at least 21 years old and licensed to carry a concealed firearm will be permitted to bring their guns on campus.

And Texas is even worse! They are nutters!
So is Georgia;

So is Georgia;
A Georgia man walked into Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport with his wife, his daughter and, around his neck, a fully loaded AR-15 rifle — and he had the law on his side.
Jim Cooley is legally allowed to have his rifle in the terminal of the world's busiest airport for passenger traffic, and he told the Daily News he has no concerns about igniting fear in those who see him packing in public.
"People think that if you're simply carrying your firearm, regardless of how you're carrying it, you're a bad person," he told the News Wednesday morning. "But if you're not carrying it in a menacing or threatening manner, it should be no cause for concern for anybody."

I wonder how they'd feel if it was a dark-skinned person who did that? Someone with a turban or a woman wearing a burka? Would they still have the same rights and would this gentleman still scoff at others who are concerned?

We have entered the era where you have to hold the top of your head or you lose it. I am not being funny, you have to make up your mind to see and hear anything.

It's tragic, simply tragic. Either the media has done their job very, very well... or politicos pulling the religious and family values card over and over again to fake their way to more votes had an unexpected dumbing down of the citizens... or I just don't know. It makes absolutely no sense to me. None.

Watch it Len, soon the Doctors will have their guns strapped on in the OP. Ha ha, I am having a serious bout of serious laughter.
As Kae said, makes no sense.

Oh if the odd thing of the federal gov were to collapse here, some places may get that chaotic as Mad Max, others would be over taken by petty dictators and their militias
Then there are our 'American Taliban" of the Christian Far Right. The more sensible folks would likely have to wall off their towns just in case.

At the moment the christian far right is busy trying to figure out what to do about ISIS. They are also busy trying to find a candidate to pose for president, as you have noticed the more the better to get confused.
I am not sure walling of the town is going to cut it Len, the drones are hovering already. Every now and they they throw us a morsel of disgust for us to munch on and we in turn, or most of us squabble among ourselves.
I can't help thinking that they really think we are fools, because no body is really responding, it is either that or we are no longer able to respond.

Re: Guns On Campus
When traveling cross the states to get to WV from Oregon, we had spotted a AH-64 gunship hovering over the highway as if it were scoping out someone for targeting.
It was weird to say the least.
