Leaving the plastic melding and being trapped in rock aside, the scale of the impact is truly astounding. Trillions of plastic pieces being trapped in arctic ice when it freezes and also about a trillion more expected to be released into the environment over the next decade. Just wowwww.....

There is a vortex in the Atlantic called a "Gyre" where the plastic debris is swirling around in a continuous circle that is some hundred miles across.

Very true. Otherwise a true independent liberal media on mainstream TV would be doing "investigative" journalism as to where the massive amount of money went that the records which were destroyed when the pentagon was hit at 9/11 happened. why are BIG OIL guys getting billions in "Corporate Welfare" handouts while we deny the poor who truly need the help? Why does this nation need to hand out trillions for military spending that outstrips 11 nations twice over? That is not defense spending, that is Empire spending. Why are companies like Monsanto allowed a rubber stamp approval on things they only do a short term "in-house" study on? and why after 40+yrs are we still holding onto a "trickle-down" economy that has proven to be a failure?
