Just a bad time to go hiking during cold war weapon experiments? angered spirits? or unfriendly aliens?

How weird.... the tent ripped from the inside.... only wearing underwear???

Len, have you read the Missing 411 books? I bought two of the series and most of the people that disappear and died mysteriously, were found with little clothes, even in cold snowy places.

Back to the OP: one of the ladies had her eyes and tongue missing???? I can't believe I never heard of this!
Thanks for posting!!

That is something really weird, I know of it from a while back.

No-one know what happened to the group.

Yep, definitely a Russian X-File to coin a phrase. It appears as if something made them rip their tents out as they were sleeping, but to run in such conditions nearly naked, something of fear so strong, or some form of mental control? that their skin had been tanned in night and snow conditions? missing eyes/tongue and lips, they may try and attribute that to animals, but only the one victim had that, and they seemed to suffer trauma equal to a car slam.

I will definitely try to read up more about it. I have also sent it to my friend in Italy and my dad, as they are also big fans of mysterious occurrences, to see what they say. Very Happy

It will be inserted into the annals of history as unexplained. It happened at the peak of the "Cold War" too.

Well, my friend in Italy have just given me a rational explanation of what may have happened, guided by his own experience in the mountains. Let see what you guys think:

1) They did not ran out and did not leave the tent in underwear. If you look at the pictures they are all dressed. They may have not been wearing their snow clothing, but they were all dressed. Some seem to have boots on, if you look at the pics, but let's assume they were barefoot.

2) They may have run after hearing some noises and they thought it was an avalanche, hence they ripped the tent. I asked why they didn't come back to the tent when they realized there was no avalanche? Because it was really dark and very windy and that confused them and maybe didn't even see their own footprints.

3) The lights in the sky were proven to be the launch of R-7 missiles. Here is the link but you may have to click translate: http://www.alpklubspb.ru/ass/dyatlov_07.htm

4) The bodies with fractures where found at the bottom of what looks like a ravine, maybe that crashed their bones

5) The missing tongue may have decomposed, it's known that in very cold places decomposition doesn't happen homogeneously and they were dead for 2 weeks before they were found.

What do you guys think? I think my friend is a genius, but I am biased! lol

Logical explanation Ags. And very possibly quite true too. Didn't need a translator to read the site you linked.

Your friend would be the Arch Nemesis of Alex Jones and Jeff Rense! Twisted Evil

Still a tragedy for those people. there is that some conclusions of a force hitting some of the hikers was not said to be conclusive to a fall, but the one woman with the missing parts was face down in a stream, and the damage was likely to putrefaction in water that was moving.

Most likely Under wear was a mistranslation of under clothing, so they were sleeping for warmth in normal clothing, just not their outer gear for protection.

Aliens, spirits, Military weapon tests,, that they had unusual skin coloration and had radiation exposure signs makes one wonder what exactly did that.

Running from tents due to some scary sound and then lost in the dark so that they could not recover their polar clothes is likely what killed the six. pics showed post hypothermia victims.

the "compelling force" could have been some form of explosion if the military testing option is used.

The added radiation and oddly tanned skin when they died in the dark is another mystery.

Radiation- Yuri Krivonischenko used to work at the nuclear plant called Chelyabinsk-40. Even if he was not wearing the same clothing at work and out it is very possible to absorb some radiation, hence the readings were a bit higher.... perhaps?

The skin coloration is normal after being frozen, it usually becomes orange or brown and this is due to the ice practically 'burning' the skin.

I need another mystery now!!! lol

Thanks for the compliment Ags! Russian isn't hard once you've got your head around the Cyrillic Alphabet. As a native Spanish speaker you would understand how the Latin genders work and Russian is all Latin genders. In fact it is mostly Noble Latin with some Nordic words tossed in.
