Star, her parents would sue that school, possibly the State of New Jersey to make a point.

Yeah, Rock, we are seeing that many do not get how crazy the Rightist movement in US politics is, backed by the Billionaires to undo the things that actually helped give the US a stable economy so they could gain short term profits before they flee. attached was that 43% of Republicans could see themselves supporting a coup,,,,now that would get DHS and FBI involved to investigate such people, all part of the crazy we created here post 9/11.

I am sure the school thinks they are in the legal right to deny the use.

They are in the legal right, it's their property and their school and it contravenes their drug-free policy. The video doesn't explain the form the medical marihuana is taken in - does she smoke it? Ingest it? Is it cannabis oil? I'd be furious if she had to smoke it at school and then ended up around my kids... second hand smoke lingers in the air and on clothing. There are other questions I have about the amounts required, would the school need to implement more security to keep unscrupulous sorts away from it while it's in storage? Is the girl in danger from those unscrupulous sorts? Did the parents spring this on school staff at the last minute, not giving them a chance to figure out a game plan? Is staff expected to administer this medication or would her parents come to the school at lunchtime?

I'd say there's no point in commenting on it really until the lawsuit and other details are worked out. There's a lot missing from the video imo.

As far as I am aware Ka, it's the Cannabin oil in capsules. That has been used to control some forms of Epilepsy for some years now.

I constantly make this point of making laws without proper research and information gathering. I agree with Kaere on this point,too much info missing. I know the oil is what they use for epileptic seizures, incidentally, this is not new at all, they have been using this medication for many such ailments for centuries, but western medicine does not approve it.


I think the parents should make the school know that the child is on that medication since it is not yet totally accepted by all.
