Bernie’s Greatest Legacy...
A fascinating essay on what our Bern is all about and the misconceptions of what he is saying: Suddenly, it’s OK to question capitalism!

Bernie Sanders is not going to be president. But in defeat he has accomplished something extraordinary, probably something more important than anything he could have achieved in four or eight frustrating years in the White House. For the first time since the end of the Cold War — and perhaps since the beginning of the Cold War — large numbers of Americans have begun to ask questions about capitalism. Questions about whether it works, and how, and for whose benefit. Questions about whether capitalism is really the indispensable companion of democracy, as we have confidently been told for the last century or so, and about how those two things interact in the real world.
Bernie Sanders did not invent those questions or cause them to emerge, to be sure. They have emerged from a whole range of objective conditions and subjective perceptions, including the dramatic worsening of economic inequality, the near-total paralysis of our political system and the awakening of an entire generation of young Americans, supposedly from the non-poor classes, who have graduated from college tens of thousands of dollars in debt. But Sanders has served as an important channel or catalyst for such questions and the shift in consciousness they represent. He or his advisers appeared to see or sense a rising current of discontent that took nearly everyone else by surprise.

Bernie is but one focal point of the revolution. If he loses the nomination by July, the Green party i offering him a place of honor in their ticket as the DNC has not played by the rules like he was doing. they have played every dirty trick so far, is clear that they desire their Queen to be anointed to power and gave a coronation. Problem is that they cannot see how she can actually lose come November.
Socialism in America w/o the Cold War is getting itself untangled from Communism, which the Cold War misinformation machine used to conflate as it may have been a left of center philosophy, but it was not so stringent or harsh as Communism.
It is widely known outside my country that a republic that employs socialistic programs that help people are the nations that seem happier. Right now America is miserable.

Sadly Bernie Saunders is not going to be the nominee, and in all probability he could not be. Bernie is the sounding block for the younger people who are waking up to the reality of the past heading for the future. There is no turning back for the elitist, they are saturated and bloated, and have not understood the spirit world of the universe. They have misrepresented the masses, polluted the world, and blanketed us in a vale of deceit and mistrust, especially against one another.
The world cannot be divided in systems that were created to benefit the few and not the All. Capitalism can work, much the same as all the systems, only they must work together. On the other side socialism must be a part of any system, because we are not alone. I think the work Bernie has done is remarkable in terms of bringing the past to the present, however hold on to your hat it's not over.

I agree Star. Bernie was never going to make it because the DNC had already anointed HIlls as the nominee from the start. They will fiddle the books, so to speak, to make sure she gets it.
But Bernie has started something that will keep on rolling now.

I am watching Democracy dying in my nation, it is on life support, and the DNC is pulling the plug while they pretend to fawn over it.

Our Constitutional Republic is acting more like an Empire, the Roman Empire to precise. We all know what happened to Rome.

Re: Bernie’s Greatest Legacy...
A post of mine at a definitely pro-Hillary site that used to pretend it was neutral.
Well, that with the town-hall we saw the attitude of Hillary and the DNC-Establishment when Maddow asked about adopting Bernie platform policies, and the response from Hillary was arrogant, condescending, and dismissive. It came across as “Why would I when I am so obviously the winner? I am the chosen one! the Anointed Queen, High Grand Plutarch? who are these Bernie supporters to me/us?” and that is the problem we have seen all along this primary season, and the Bernie supporters are aware of it.
We are aware of that and the shenanigans of affiliation changes and voter purges, polling centers shut down especially in strongly Pro-Bernie precincts, the a change of venues as well, and the broken machines, and nothing of those shenanigans hurt HRC at all. Closed Primaries are a shameful sham too. Open Primaries, in which Independents on the left lean supported Sanders whole heartedly.
Unit the party that chose to rip itself apart by acting like Republicans used to be before the insane ones took over? the same party that has ignored what the people want? the same party that acts as if they are appointing some medieval royalty to power over us when we want the more left leaning policies that would send relief and support to those who need it most, Not the FatCat Rich Billionaires/WallStreet Managers/Banksters/Big Oil and MIC suits, to name few who do NOT need help.
America NEEDS Bernie, it is not just a pipe dream, the nation is broken, it is damaged, and just saying as Obama did command to heal it is not gonna work, we need one who see what must be done.
Hillary just sees a shiny prize to be won, another trophy to hang on a wall in her mansion(s). She is not the best choice no matter her gender, 1st female president would have been better served by Warren, or Stein!

Hills has some health worries too. She has fainting spells and in one case fainted and fell down. Broke her arm.

Yeah well, even if she is ill, they are still pushing her down our throats no matter what it seems, too many investors to please I guess.
