All a bit of a waiting game on this mountain atm. The Ring of Fire is evidently quite active in general just at the mo.

I've just seen some more reports on it. It sounds much more serious than I had originally thought (I thought it was somewhat remote). 100,000 have evacuated!!

I admit to ignorance about that part of the world... have you heard Rogue, is any ashfall likely to affect you or the rest of Aus at all?

Probably not affect us directly, but will depend on the size of the eruption. Most likely aviation would be most affected like aircraft routes. 

Many Aussies travel to Bali, thousands every day in fact. Its a very close and very cheap holiday destination. I have three seperate lots of friends over there atm, one who has his own holiday house about 35kms from the mountain. They should all be safe, but like all things like this its all a little unpredictable.

The Indonesian govt are telling people its still safe to travel there but from our end you can no longer get travel insurance for your trip.

Things have fired up there today, and all flights in and out of Bali are cancelled. Devastating for 1000's of Perth holiday makers and loads of Schoolies.
