This sounds really exciting and fun, and I've thought about it for ages - I don't really have any idea what my deep ancestry might be like, because I've never known any further back than 3 generations. But one thing I've heard is that you can get this test done for free - I don't know if it's actually possible, since every test I've come across in searches costs more or less the same as what you've mentioned here. 
Obviously it would be a cool thing to get done, regardless of cost - but the less it costs the better, etc.
This is the perpetual student in me talking, LOL.

I will know just what a mongrel I am in the next few weeks, sent the sample off about 1 month ago.

Jaks has just sent hers off so it will be a bit longer for her. She's a purebreed Czech so I wonder what skeletons will dance in her cupboard!

All I've found out about my immediate ancestry so far is that my folks came from various different parts of England, which strikes me as pretty boring - there's a connection with Germany/East Prussia/Poland which I've heard about on my mum's side, but apart from that I've not picked up on anything multicultural yet. I'm keen to go back further and find out where my ancestry really originated - I hope Aggie is right when she says I look American, and my appearance shows a multicultural ancestry.
