Re: Memory music
I woke up today with this song in my head.... it takes me back to my childhood when magic was something I actually believed....

Re: Memory music
This is really surprising for me but somehow I can't remember ever hearing this song before... But the message it sends out is an awesome one! And I believe it can always be true too

Re: Memory music
If it matters to you, then it already is famous in a sense! (This is what I tell myself when a song means a lot to me )

Re: Memory music
This song is one I discovered entirely through my Last FM mix, it first began playing in the late summer of 2020 as one of my recommendations, and since then it’s been coming up more and more frequently - like it’s haunting me.
The more I hear it, the more I feel it holds subconscious memories for me, and the more I think there’s something very powerful about it:

That's a great song.... and a great message to have, all about making your dreams come true or achieving what you want.

Thanks, I really appreciate you saying this! It kinda verifies what I first felt and thought.
I’m also picking up a message about following childhood dreams from the song too, not sure how literally to take it! LOL

Re: Memory music
My original childhood dream was to be an F1 driver. Missed the bus on that one, LOL!
In fairness, because I have Dyspraxia which affects my physical fitness and muscle tone so profoundly, I highly doubt I ever could’ve been physically capable of driving an F1 car competitively for the length of time those drivers do during a race.
I’ve tried racing go-karts on the limit, and I’ve found I do have the instinctive reflexes and reaction times necessary to be a racing driver, even if I’m only able to do that for the few minutes a karting session lasts for.
It’s my greatest dream. But the lack of physical fitness - due to my disability, not my diet LOL - is an insurmountable barrier to me achieving it.

Re: Memory music
It's not just the physical fitness: F1 drivers are all petite and incredibly slim (they have to be to fit in such small place! lol).
I think that you would be too tall anyway.

Re: Memory music
Yeah, you’re right - my build is more like a wrestler, or has been since about the time I finished high school. (I’ve actually been told by friends before now that I should become a wrestler, but I have no interest in it!)
I was slim when I was growing up, but then I started putting weight on due to all the comfort-eating I was doing because of family problems; I dunno whether I could get that figure back or not if I change my diet and lifestyle after lockdown ends, or whether stocky is just my natural build since I became adult. (I hope it isn’t TBH!)
And yeah, I’m taller than most racing drivers, but not too tall to fit in an F1 car.

Re: Memory music
Really? I thought all F1 drivers have to be on the short side to fit comfortably.

Re: Memory music
Ideally yes, but their seats inside the car are specially moulded to fit their body shape and the designers of the cars make as much allowance as possible for taller drivers, so unless a driver is taller than 6’2” it isn’t an issue now. Up till the mid 90s it was very different, tall drivers couldn’t fit properly into cars and used to get cramp during races, and their feet used to go to sleep sometimes as well. But the designers of the cars and seats eventually improved the conditions inside the cockpits of the cars, and taller drivers can fit in properly now... Fortunately!Agartha wrote:Really? And that Queensryche song is beautiful! Love it!
