Planet Farout

For the first time, an object in our solar system has been found more than 100 times farther than Earth is from the sun.


The International Astronomical Union's Minor Planet Centre announced the discovery yesterday, calling the object 2018 VG18.


But the researchers who found it are calling it "Farout."

It is so distant it probably takes 1000 years to take one trip around the sun!! 1000 years.... incredible.

It’s actually got a pretty cool name which has a nice ring to it too - and which might start looking silly if planets further away get discovered  

Nice to have a pink planet in the Solar System, it was a colour that was missing!
