There's been quite an outbreak of measles in NZ, and a number of cases here in OZ... thought it a thing of the past.

Measles is coming back because you need a 95% coverage to prevent outbreaks. Do you know the rates of vaccination in NZ and OZ?

Australia is around 90% but rising I believe.

How about the UK?

Yes, two doses. Unfortunately in the UK rates are dropping, they are now approx 91% and we have lost our 'Measles free' title due to this..... I despair...

Yeah, I think that's mainly due to the controversy over the measles/mumps/rubella vaccine here, and the health concerns that were associated with it, which has put a lot of people off it.

Sounds like measles is becoming a superbug, unfortunately - or at least behaving like one.

That bloody con, Andrew Wakefield, created this problem with the MMR just for greed, as he was making a profit with the individual vaccines.
