So the first Christmas Star link ended up linking to a story about a black hole!

Re: Christmas Star
Thank you for the real link! LOL
I hope it won't be cloudy and I'll go out to try to see the 'Christmas Star'... so, sunset will be at approx 15:39 in Scotland on the 21st. Forty five minutes after sunset, we should look 10 degrees above the South-Western horizon (this is for Scotland only, sorry but I don't know about other locations)

Re: Christmas Star
I went out to see it tonight. I'll hold off on my review until others have had a chance to look.

Re: Christmas Star
You would have seen it just after sunset, Lion. Any luck?
I didn't see it, much too cloudy. I'm grateful for photographs!

Re: Christmas Star
Aww, I was too late then - it was already several hours after sunset when I made that post
(Actually I now remember reading that it would be soon after sunset... Ugh!)
Nope, not seen anything myself, unfortunately :-/
Looks like I’ll need to rely on photos too!

Re: Christmas Star
To be absolutely honest i thought it was pretty unspectcular. It looked like a star in the sky. If that was thought to be a Christmas Star, then they must of had great imaginations way back then.

Re: Christmas Star
I guess in a year like this one has been, any non-Coronavirus story is enough to make the media get excited and make a bigger deal out of it than was necessary! LOL
