Wow!! Really interesting developments!

I hope he gets overthrown too. I think he’s been a dangerous and disruptive presence on the world stage for too long, and his influence has become quite scary, so it would be a good thing if he was removed from power. I just hope there isn’t a bloodbath in the process.

Interestingly, in the last day or two I’d started to hear reports about Alexei Navalny and take an interest in his story, as it reminded me of the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko back in 2006; great to hear that he’s survived and is fighting back. But I never realised how much unrest there actually is in Russia right now! 
This could turn out to be a pivotal moment in Russia’s history.

Maybe we are seeing the beginning of the end for Putin, the end of his autocracy. I think the fact that Putin has not killed Navanly (yet) shows he knows he needs to be careful right now.

I don't remember Russians protesting in the streets like this before... do any of you do?

Nah, I don’t - there seems to be very strong feeling here, which Putin seems to have underestimated.
