Facebook turned off Australia today, and now Australia has turned off Facebook...

I actually just watched that on the news! Well done, Australia! I am always debating in my head whether I should cancel my facebook!

The only reason I keep it is because all my people live far away, it's easy for that.

Yeah that's the purpose it had for me when I first signed up, but really I barely ever look at it anymore.
It was pretty disgusting to see them pull down our emergency feeds and the like. They don't give a damn about anyone really.

It’s worrying that Mark Zuckerberg has such a megalomaniac attitude on the quiet, it could lead to increasingly disturbing things happening on the world stage. I hope this issue can be used to put him back in his place, and I’m glad that Joe Biden seems keen to do that too.
Personally I’ve not used Facebook seriously for several years, I deactivated my last account back in 2014, because of concerns I had about privacy on FB. I’ve been happy living without it during that time, and I wouldn’t be bothered if disciplinary action was taken against them over this or any other matters they might’ve been involved in.

Yeah checked FB today and things are odd, it will not send me to the source posts in my list opf things to catch up on. FB must feel under some sort of siege.
