Very interesting articles! I love learning about ancient cultures. What shocked me from the first article was 'Rhino-sized wombats'...  Shocked

It's interesting how people seem to have always used the same criteria... needing freshwater for example.

I think the modern highways connect the main populated areas of the country and they are mainly close to the coast. Maybe these mirror too the past essentials of fresh water, hunting and fishing areas, and later easier trade routes.
