Kiwi Hen...
Kiwi's are flightless and have only rudimentary wings. Their body is covered by flat hairs rather than feathers. The hens lay eggs that are 20% of the hen's body weight. They are about the size of a Bantam hen.
Imagine giving birth to a 30lb baby! That would make your eyes water!!
The hen doesn't eat for the last few months that the egg in inside her. After she lays it the male takes over the incubation and doesn't eat either for a few weeks. Once the chick is hatched it's on it's own!

The bald eagle is the key to my healing, I'm just having trouble accessing their spirit for guidance.

Have you literally sat out in the wilderness and asked them for help?

Re: Kiwi Hen...
We have a flightless duck too, the Grey Duck, endangered.
Because there were no ground-based predators our birds stopped flying. The introduction of rats and weasels decimated the population of birds.
Kakapo...
Largest parrot and also flightless. Like all parrots they are curious and inquisitive and not afraid of humans. There are only about 100 left now.

Not in the wild, maybe that's what I'll do when up at the brothers. Their are many close by where he lives. We have seen them sitting in trees right in his yard. Many nests with one mile of his place.
I live in the big city, so they aren't close by.

I think the place is still filled with dodo birds (no feathers either).

Yes do so, you must. Just sit out there close by to them, and talk out loud to them (if you feel a bit silly just talk to them in your head, they will still listen). Just ask for their help, love and protection.

Re: Kiwi Hen...
If you listen carefully you might even hear them talking back to you.
To do this you need to open your heart and your mind (heart chakra and third eye chakra), and clear your mind of everything but love and have an inner stillness and calm.
