Why has the pre-Inca civilization been left out?
How about Ancient India and China?
Also remember, some of the greatest ancient scientists where Islamic.
The Magi...... lsol

They haven't been included because it is not regarded that they had anything to do with western civilisation. Not true, India and China both had very advanced civilisations before the Sumer one. And furthermore their influence was profound on how we developed as a civilisation.
Even the Minoans were any bit as advanced and the Sumers.
Yep. The Moors kept science alive when Europe was going through the "Dark Ages".

Actually, the majority of those called Islamic / Moorish scientists were Persian. Even the name 'algorithm' comes from a Persian word (my friend is married to a Persian so I have been corrected years ago! lol).
And let's not forget that those Moorish/ Arabs scientists learned their maths, astronomy and medicine from the Hindus. The 'zero' specifically, was a Hindu invention. They also learned a lot from ancient Greeks.
History is not black and white...... it's beautifully grey and you'll find great minds in all corners of the planet.
