Earth -- The Operator's Manual...
A short playlist of the way we use energy. It explains how we can tell where the atmospheric CO2 comes from.
Also looks at the different ways we can wean ourselves off fossil fuels.

Aren't they just! I watched the first two and I will watch the last one tonight. 3 hours long for the lot but it's so interesting, especially on how they test the air trapped in ice cores.

We won't 'wean' ourselves off fossil fuels, it will happen very abruptly, like the start of the computer generation.

That could happen Len but I suspect not. It will take a real change in mindset amongst the general population. The days of $1.00/gal of petrol are long gone now.
The price of crude has gone done some lately which is hurting Russia badly. Combined with the sanctions Putin is getting worried.

Just like when we went from horses to horseless.

The general population has no say in the matter. Nothing to do with the 'general' mindset of the population. It's all about new technology being discovered.

E-Cat stands for “energy catalyzer” and is a device in which hydrogen gas, powdered nickel metal, and undisclosed proprietary catalysts are combined to produce a large amount of heat through a little understood low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) process inside a specially designed chamber. The inner workings of the reactor are covered by a trade secret which Rossi consistently refuses to discuss.
Rossi Looking for ‘Perfection’ in 1MW Plant
Dear Mr. Rossi, after all your years of hard work, at this time what is the thing that you are most looking to achieve and will give you the most satisfaction in your work?

Georgehants:
Absolutely yes: when the contract signed by IH with their Customer for the 1 MW plant will have been totally satisfied, fullfilled and totally paid for, that will be the first plant of the history making real energy in an industrial process. That will be the real game changer in the history of the production of energy, like the “New Fire”. This is why I have no time at all for any other issue, in this period. I need maximum focus, because failure is not an option and all the problems that pop up on daily base have to be resolved properly to consolidate the technology. I want this magnificence made by our Team to be perfect.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

Re: Earth -- The Operator's Manual...
Cars were being used by the 1890's but horses were still being used up until the 1920's, hardly cold turkey.
The same will happen with fossil fuels.
Yes, technology is moving along quickly but still has a lot to do. Electric cars are developing rapidly but they still don't have the battery capacity to have a decent range yet.
Further; there is little point in having electric cars when they are charged up using coal generation.
