Funny why we can them 'bolts'?

Because they used to think that Gods like Zeus hurled lightning like they were javelins, or bolts of a large crossbow weapon.

OMG they are sooo beautiful! They look like tree roots or branches in slow motion!! And how amazing at the lightning shooting up from the soil, never knew that happened.

When you look at the gorgeous power of nature you can understand how our ancestors in the stone age believed it all to be from a deity.

I knew there was a upwards motion for lightning, but it looks like it is actually as all in nature, a two way street! awesome stuff.
