Music is something so close to my heart and I find that listening to and sharing it is such a powerful way of expressing my innermost feelings, for a while I've wanted to start my own Playlist here for songs which are haunting me, songs which express my feelings best at that time, and songs which I just love listening to. Smile

Starting off with my favourite Queen song and one of my favourite songs ever - I just love everything about it Smile

(Queen - Seven Seas Of Rhye)

This song is haunting me heavily at the moment(as is the movie to some extent), and it has actually haunted me, on and off, for nearly 9 years now. It gets me every time I hear it unexpectedly, it makes me so emotional. I've never quite understood why yet, but I know I definitely love it.

Turn around;
Look at what you see
In her face, the mirror of your dream!

Make believe I'm everywhere,
Given in the light.
Written on the pages
Is the answer to a neverending story...
AaahAaahAaah
Neverending story... AaahAaahAaah

Reach the stars;
Fly a fantasy!
Dream a dream,
And what you see will be!

Rhymes that keep their secrets
Will unfold behind the clouds
And there upon the rainbow
Is the answer to a neverending story...
AaahAaahAaah
Neverending story... AaahAaahAaah
Story... AaahAaahAaah
WhoooooooooooAaahAaahAaah!

*Beautiful, dreamy instrumental*

Show no fear,
Or she may fade away
In your hands,
The birth of a new day!

Rhymes that keep their secrets
Will unfold behind the clouds
And there upon the rainbow
Is the answer to a neverending story...
AaahAaahAaah

(Edited to add the lyrics. I have went to the trouble of hand-typing them in the style that feels right to me... Well worth the time, effort and constant battle with predictive text!)

You'll get along well with Solace, if she comes back for a visit. The song and movie means something to her as well.

Sounds cool, hope she visits then Smile
I've always been deeply affected by hearing it, although in a nice way - I feel a wave of profound emotion which washes over me, and I actually find it very difficult to pinpoint what emotion it is; I sense both happiness and sadness in various amounts, and a profound sense of longing. I still don't know what might be the source of it, but I'm guessing it must mean that the music is connecting with my soul, as opposed to my mind or even my heart, to bring out such strong feelings.
I always find listening to it a very enjoyable experience overall though.

A great feelgood song which has been on my mind lately, and which I remember from when it came out too:

My friend the Communist
Holds meetings in his RV
I can't afford his gas
So I'm stuck here watching TV...

I don't have Digital
I don't have diddly-squat
It's not having what you want,
It's wanting what you got!

A good summary of how things are feeling for me at the moment Smile
For my Luckdragon Smile

I've loved this song ever since it came out and it's always resonated deeply with me, and recently I've been powerfully reminded of it, as the lyrics express my feelings so perfectly right now Smile

Cool Very Happy They're one of my favourite bands, mainly before my time, but when they released Maria it made me aware of their earlier material.
Love New Wave music in general too!

A song I immediately loved the very first time I heard it(When the album came out), long before I was aware of past lives or past life connections:

Heard this on the radio the other day, reminded me how great I think it is... It’s been in my head ever since Very Happy
Think it’s aptly named!

I’ve always liked this track, and it seems to be haunting me a bit just now - that’s twice I’ve heard it in less than 24 hours Smile

This has been haunting me a bit lately, since I’ve heard it 3 times in 3 different locations over the last week or so, each time when I had no control over whether or when it got played. It’s also one I’ve liked ever since it was first released:

I’ve always thought she is a brilliant singer too.

This has special memories for me of house parties, nights out and other great social events from the late summer of 2003(Round about the time of my Birthday actually):

(I’ve deliberately chosen a lyrics video as I’m not sure if the official music video is considered too explicit for sharing here)

(The Darkness - I Believe In A Thing Called Love)

A song that has a lot of special memories for me including fun childhood memories(It was #1 in the charts when I started high school), as well as more recent good memories(I requested it on a night out in a rock club for a laugh, and it got the club jumping!):

(Blur - Country House)

I love everything about this one - the tune, the beat, the vibe, the energy, the parallels with my own experiences. I’ve always loved The Fratellis’ sound, but I fell in love with this track the first time I heard it.

A great feelgood song, and one I’ve always found gives me an overwhelming sense of happiness when I listen to it, without even really knowing why as such:
