The Big Bang and the Rainbow Gravity theories both stretch our minds. One 'starting from nothing' and one 'always existing'. The truth will be fascinating. How great would it be to be discovered in our lifetime.

I probably can make more sense of 'no beginning, no end'.

I think most of us can understand the 'always existing' universe theory better. I simply cannot comprehend the 'nothing' that was before the big bang.

There was some silliness to my last comment (did you notice?). Not to downcry scientific 'fact', but I do feel the constructs we are taught to believe often hinder our search for the answers and keep us asleep to the possibilities.

Hmm... the big bang theory does make sense to me as long as one only considers that the supposed explosion was all of the bits and pieces being spewed out. But space itself is still the universe, right? So all the bits and pieces had to expand out into something and that something was all that empty universe. Soooo to me it didn't create the universe but just spewed all the cool stuff out into the never ending void that is already the universe.

I believe you, Len but don't forget what I posted the other day that Derren Brown said: just because you believed in  your memories the professionals were never going to agree with you because they were just your thoughts, without any evidence to back it up but your memories.

This takes us to what Stirky said the other day, that sometimes science proves what some have believed for centuries. 

Going back to the OP, I just read that if the black holes are found at a certain energy, it could prove that the 'rainbow gravity' theory is correct and would debunk the famous Big bang. The rainbow gravity theory suggests the universe stretches back into time with no singular point where it started, hence making the original big bang obsolete.

Yes, but I always found it odd that the man was hearing the discussion of trans-dimensional travel, spirit habitation via being born into a body of that dimension, as well as the idea of other universes from a 6yr old who could not possibly have studied Physics, Quantum Physics/Mechanics/and String Theory was not wide spread back then in 1970 when I spoke to him of it. Nor the idea of Trans Dimensional Intelligences poking about. Of course this does not burn out a body as fast as say, "Possession" would, I am finding that having done a few things to lump on top of what I was putting this shell through has sped up it's life expectancy somewhat.

Universes birth more universes, all connected, here in this one, there was darkness but matter as well, then came the song that all matter still hums to this very day/minute/hour second as Humans reckon as time. Moments, as short or as long as we desire them to be. we do hurtle ahead on these shells so as to avoid the boredom of staying in the same moment but we can always revisit moments if not in present bodies, our spirits/souls/minds at least can.

We also don't know what else is in the universe so perhaps wayyyyyyy way way far away, there was another big bang and the two debris fields will never meet. Or three debris fields. Or ????

According to the Hawking hypothesis it all started with a singlarity Rog. Everything in the uni' was all in one spot and then went bang.

Minor Setback Delays LHC StartUp By As Many as Five Weeks

It may have been two years since the Large Hadron Collider went to sleep at the CERN headquarters but scientists are stirring to get it back up and running. Unfortunately all the experiments that have been waiting for the power up will have to wait as a short circuit has delayed the restart of the machine.

Indeed, officials say that a minor glitch has forced a delay in the re-start of the world’s largest particle smasher, Europe’s multi-billion dollar Large Hadron Collider.

Actually the team found that a small metallic piece near one of the magnetic components needs to be removed before they can really get the machine going again; and this could take a week or so.

But while this mishap is unexpected it is somewhat understandable, as CERN Director for Accelerators Frédérick Bordry explains: “Any cryogenic machine is a time amplifier, so what would have taken hours in a warm machine could end up taking us weeks.”

And even with this tiny snafu all systems are still go; no one on the team seems to be phased by it. As a matter of fact CERN Director General Rolf Heuer explains, “All the signs are good for a great run 2. In the grand scheme of things, a few weeks delay in humankind’s quest to understand our universe is little more than the blink of an eye.”

Hopefully removing this small piece of metal will be easy. If the removal process is simple, the machine could be ready to fire up again in just a matter of days. If, however, the machine needs significant repairs it could take as many as five weeks before it will be ready for another attempt.

And that singularity, that was incredibly dense and hot (apparently), exploded like a piñata and sent essential elements throughout the expanding universe. In my head I see the singularity exploding like a firework really... but I struggle to understand there was a singularity surrounded by... nothing.

Finding the black holes at a certain energy level would prove that the singularity never happened.

My question is: if the always existing universe is proven to be right.... does this mean religions were right? Because according to the Hindus and Abrahamic religions the universe, just like God/Gods, have always existed and always will be.

Oh the place had the glue to help bind the parts together, Dark Matter was why there was "Nothing" as we cannot see the stuff,,,,well not Humans anyway.

Double the power huh? Hmmm, I wonder if that will tear a new gate open they can't close? better hope the other side is just like Earth, or who knows what kind of problems they will get?
