This is quite interesting. We had a discussion some time ago about man going to the moon. The question of the Van Allen belt came up and some agreed that they found a way to circumvent it so humans could land on the moon. Well I just came across this video, I think it is quite interesting and should shed some more light on this phenomenon

Here they are saying for the first time they have evidence of plasma structures in space.
