Little Bastards
Seagull gangs attacking people in the UK. Jerks!
Pretty serious though, they killed a dog and almost took off a child's finger!

Seagulls are vicious Ka. Good for target shooting too! A shotgun scatters them for places unknown!
The Skuas, the smaller cousins of the seagulls that populate rivers and lakes inland, can be stroppy too!

I think they said in one of the captions that it's possible a lack of food in the sea itself is making them more aggressive. Still, a boot to a feathery butt may be required!

Re: Little Bastards
They needs ASBO's!! They are getting rather out of hand, but it's mainly because people feed them. A lot of towns round here have banned feeding of seagulls and pigeons. We had a gang of them move on here earlier in the year, bloomin noisy pesky things. They were taking over, luckily they went, although they have been around. Had one in my garden the other day eating the food we put out for the other birds.
The councils are now bringing in plans to reduce the numbers. They might just take eggs from nests, or might actually start killing birds to reduce numbers. It does seem a bit harsh and unfair, but out towns here are really becoming over run with seagulls. They are big birds too and cause a lot of damage. Although to see one pinch a pasty, chips or ice cream from an unsuspecting tourist can be rather funny

Oh last year we had daily flying of birds of prey over our city centre, that gets rid of them, but they just move to other areas (like my street!). I need a hawk!

Re: Little Bastards
The Mally gulls are the biggest of them but fortunately in much lesser numbers. They can be very aggressive!

They tend to put up plastic owls here to try to deter pesty birds. Yeah, cause that works

The Chinese use hawk-like kites to keep the buggars off their rice crops. Seems to work too.

Which os why young Johnny kept throwing rocks at seagulls -- he wanted to make sure that no tern was un-stoned!

There is a female seagull somewhere saying:
"Boy that guy is so hot he's on fire"

Re: Little Bastards
They keep getting into the bins here and scattering rubbish everywhere. If you leave a bin bag out in the open it gets ripped to shreds. They're vermin IMO. Appropriate thread title!!
They swoop people here too, mainly during the summer months when they have nests, so the gang comments make good sense!
LOL at the link, priceless!
