For me the current Ioniq's range is a bit too short, id rather have at least 300 km of range (about 200 mi).

I agree Ice. It's more of a shopping cart than a fast mountain driving experience!

Apparently they are, but I have never driven one nor I know somebody who owns one. Would you not like them if they were too quiet?

The safety concern for pedestrians is the 'quiet' issue ppl keep throwing up. I wonder though when the bulk of cars go electric that predestrians will naturally become more vigilant.

I have heard that some electric cars have been given an engine noise maker so it can be heard. They were 'sneaking up' on pedestrians quite often and of course it's a safety hazard for blind pedestrians for sure. No one could tell if they were running or not, thought they were just parked lol
