Jacinda Adern is the new Labour leader here 2 months out from an Election. She is not a Corbyn, more of a Trudeau in policies but certainly better than the Tories that have been running the show for the last 9 years.

She is also photogenic and attractive, something the rightwing have noted, tall and slim with long dark hair so beloved by those who are very shallow. The rightwing tend to gloss over her ability to hold her own in a debate without getting personal.

We will see if she becomes the next PM at the end of September. Incidentally, our Elections are ALWAYS held on a Saturday.

I guess you mean she is more progressive than Corbyn? Because I think Trudeau is, right?

Not really Ags she's not as Leftish as Corbyn but more than what we have had over the last 9 years.

She wants to put a stop to the "Trimming" of our Health System that has been going on and put a charge on overseas companies coming here to bottle water and export it without paying anything toward the country. To name two of her policies.
