I wonder if it had anything to do with the earthquake in Alaska a few days ago... *ponders*

I read about it last month when it happened and apparently there is a rare phenomenon called 'slow earthquake' which are slow and quieter and because of this they release their energy slowly, taking even days (when the usual earthquakes release the same energy in seconds).

So maybe a very slow vibration caused by a very slow earthquake under the water could have produced the waves nobody noticed?

This is of course just my personal (non expert) conclusion which is most likely totally wrong lol.
