They get paid by those with the money just like you and me and 99% of the world's population.

About why the spill happened? Or what?

Are you saying that all scientists are corrupt????

I know what caused the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and why it happened. BP and its 2 contractors were found guilty. Nobody embellished anything and it was not scientists: there were shortcuts in the cementing operations (Halliburton), poor risk management of the drilling rig (Transocean) and BP just ignoring it all as they made them money. All 3 companies were made to pay and those responsible for those shortcuts to save money were all blue collar guys, not scientists.

what did they pour out into the ocean..what claims were made about that product..where did the idea come from about said product.

the tar sands in northern Alberta...they claim it does nothing to the athabasca river And environment...who told the oil companies this?

I don't know about the tar sands in Alberta, I have not even heard of it.
Oil drilling was actually invented by a farmer.....but I know what you are saying, of course there are scientists behind the research to do oil drilling and that, but most scientists are not evil like you suggest........a small percentage yes, but most are normal people like you and me.

The example is Einsten: when he did his research on atomic energy he did it with good intentions, he never knew corporations (the billionaires) were going to make atomic bombs with his research.

Many scientists are just like Einstein: they research with good intentions and then the small percentage of corrupts turn their ideas to evil profit.

Many scientists do have good intentions...but are muzzled by corporate or governmental agenda....we all are....if the money stops...we stop...and they know it

governments fund research based in what will get them elected....so what do you do...give them what they want...or give them the truth...and the money stops.

and before anyone starts slamming me....my island and myself are part of the dirty deeds too....we have thousands of acres of crop that they spew pesticides all over for more profit....the bugs won't eat them...but we sure will

Scientists and biologists know what has to be done...and most conclusions would be very unpopular to the masses....therefore won't be implemented...nor studied any further

the only hope is for intervention...and for that intervention to happen....many have to believe and request it....right now that belief is rising...and until its at 100%...then its free will...which mean...destruction of our habitat..continues

which brings us back to the thread topic

And science is not the bad guy, science only deals with things you can measure and physically analyze, this is why it cannot deal with assumptions.......science tests theories, that's all.
