If you saw me anywhere near a dead fish then you'd know that was a phobia, but it doesn't control my life, I just go nowhere near dead fish!!!

Some people do bury stuff deep inside them, they do not even admit things to themselves, I know this because I have done this. But when confronted by something you are truly phobic of then it is hard to hide it!!

Only around 7% of populations in the West have phobias. But there's nothing embarrassing about it.....in fact 1 in 4 of us will develop a mental illness at any point in our lives, we just have to meet the ideal conditions.
I, so far have no phobias, nothing that debilitates me or prevents me from living my life to the full........but I have no guarantees that I will never develop one.
So now having a phobia is mental illness. lol

VM, phobias are the most common mental disorder, but my point was that to me mental disorders are not taboo....they happen all the time and they can happen to anybody.

We all have hang ups, it's just the way we are. Anybody can have a mental issue, some people obviously get them much worse that others (ending up in hospital etc). It is a subject that people do not like to discuss, but talking about it makes it better and makes people understand what a struggle some people have on a daily basis.

Only good discussing if all parties reveal their true inner selves.

It's all down to the individual, they are the only one that can get to the point where they want to get better and allow the help in
