Let me comment on  a couple of paragraphs:

Yes, true....... but what about the husband? Does he do things to make his wife happy? Or does he just expects her to be happy?

True also, males don't talk as much as we do.... does this means they are happy with whatever situation they are in? That they don't see the point of talking if they are not happy? That they are much simpler than we are?....... yes...... they are.

In my experience, he just expected me to be happy... wasn't interested in helping to bring that out in me. It's not like I didn't communicate those things I needed or wanted. Several friends have said the same thing too, especially being together for a long time. It's like being in the background all the time... they think "what's the point in fussing with something if it isn't broken?", not considering that a little maintenance can help keep things running more smoothly.

I don't think they're simpler than we are necessarily but the things that would keep us happy are different. I'm pretty simple in what makes me happy. At least, I think I am... oh god.

I think us women are much more complicated than men........ they don't seem to fuss over silly little things that we consider important.

And I agree with you: sometimes marriages break because of stagnation and not doing anything about it.
