OMG really???!!!! That is terrible!!! Was done in a Michael Crichton book and of course on the Planet of the Apes films, you wonder sometimes if these scientists look at the world of fiction and think 'oh that is a good idea!!'

Yep Len. Russia has done this for centuries. It has so much territory and they use it to their advantage. Stop and fight then suddenly withdraw and destroy everything behind them. The invading army has nothing to live on and needs very long supply lines. Eventually the invaders can't get sufficient supplies to carry on fighting.

The Brits did the same in nth Africa. Strike and withdraw across the desert, stop, fight and withdraw again. That exposed Rommel's supply lines to attacks by the Brits. Then stopped at al Allamein (god's garden!) and Rommel was defeated there.

Phillip I Spain the same?

Holstedt and his Teuton Knights also forcing the Poles and the eastern Baltic people to do the same?

The on-going fight between the Shia and the Sunni Muslims?

The very peaceful place called Northern Ireland?

None of the above had anything to do with religion and warfare?

Anyway what does that have to do with your statement of a "Godless Society"? And the question of how religion was/is not violent? That comment makes no sense.

Now, if it is a word that can not be spoken then it doesn't exist, Ye-of-Many-Names. Words are a cluster of sounds that impart a meaning to others.

Generally speaking when some-one resorts to personal attacks they have lost the debate and want to close the conversation down.
