All things I already observe, both when walking about, and by using multi-media to catch on. I tend to have to temp-forget or my anger grows too much.
Humans smugly tell themselves all i well, that we defeated evil in WW-II when evil lurks in all lands, all nations, waiting to do what the video explains.
Evil that has used religion, and religiosity to help mis-direct people, politicians corrupted by corporates, the corporates by their rich owners who are or may be mis-directed by the ones who thrive like parasites on human suffering and apathy mixed with mundanity.
Humanity sits at a cross roads.

The Hopi say that we can choose to stay the way we are and go to destruction/extinction, etc
OR
Humanity can choose to go to a path where life is more important than profits, and restore the balance. The evil that is greed is hard to eradicate, and seems to be strong in human-kind while others are trying to help re-shape the thinking of Humanity, the problem is the side with Greed has amassed so much of the wealth that they are capable of spreading their ideology faster and more readily than the ones seeking balance restoration.
They use the Infommercials, and news to keep things floating as they are.
Wallstreet is their other tool,
Politicians are their bought and paid for whores
Humans have to decide, life or burn.

Re: The Life we Live...
I agree, go within yourself and I know the spiral means the same in all North / Central and South American tribes: the road to otherworlds....
BUT right now we have to also do material things, not just spiritual.. we need to do something to stop what we are doing to Gaia. I know she will never be destroyed and that she will recover, but we won't and we owe it to the future generations to try to do something to fix this problem we have created.

Does it really matters which way the spiral turns? At some point it will change.▓ wrote:Which way does the spiral turn...

Re: The Life we Live...
Why do the prayer wheels always spin clockwise?
The practitioner most often spins the wheel clockwise, as the direction in which the mantras are written is that of the movement of the sun across the sky. On rare occasions, advanced Tantric practitioners such as Senge Dongma, the Lion-Faced Dakini, spin prayer wheels counterclockwise to manifest a more wrathful protective energy.

Re: The Life we Live...
The Prayer wheels I have seen in Nepal all are on the right hand side as you go toward the temple, so they would spin clockwise as people spin them walking by.

10 Years To Save The Planet? With Professor Tim O’Riordan

Maddy Harland talks to Professor Tim O’Riordan about new science, why we got it wrong about Darwin, education, climate change and how we must transition to a low carbon world... quickly.

The launch of The Unselfish Spirit – human evolution in a time of global crisis by Mick Collins took me to the city of Norwich last summer. Professor Tim O’Riordan had written the foreword and I was intrigued to meet an eminent scientist who was so prepared to put his name to a book about psychology and becoming more conscious through spiritual development. What Tim said about science’s role in society’s response to climate change inspired and intrigued me, so I arranged to interview him for PM.
Tim began by saying that science is a culture set around certain parameters: it is based on observation and evidence (i.e. the ability to measure and record); it claims to be replicable, independent and not manipulated by a set of values, or political or commercial pressures; science must also be authenticated by undergoing peer review. Tim then pointed out, “The proof of replicability frequently breaks down... In reality, we know that science itself is subject to all kinds of biases and has been since the 15th century. Scientific institutions have shielded themselves from difficult questions for many centuries.”
In the latter part of the 20th century, the public’s relationship with science changed. “Science has moved into the realms of ethics. Areas of research like stem cell, embryology and genetically modified food are regarded as not in the public interest to be pursued. Public disquiet contributes to one of the changes that is taking place: people won’t accept evidence because of their values, regardless of whether scientific rules and regulations have been followed.”
Another challenge, most evident within the context of climate change, is that science has become involved with politics: specifically how people behave, how they consume and how societies organise themselves. Science is beginning to be seen as manipulative. “In a nutshell, we have reached the stage where science is under pressure to change its ways. One way science is responding is to say we are not always going to be right. We have to make sure we have some kind of public dialogue so that different interest groups can explain their perspective and challenge each other on a fair basis. This will create a co-productive, co-operative science, engaging science and the public in creative conversation. This is the modern way in which science is beginning to manifest itself.”
Tim sees this process as particularly important in the world of sustainable development. “We’re dealing with very powerful, vested interests that are trying to resist change, and also fundamental principles around human rights, social justice and the long term care for future generations ... We have to be more systematic when looking at the social implications for future generations: the way in which technology can be altered; wealth redistribution and whether values allow for this to be possible or not; or whether people will resist and try to hold together thestatus quo, to their own detriment, and not just to the significant detriment of future generations.”

Re: The Life we Live...
Humans will argue the issues and do little to change even after the eco-system hits the point of no return(PONR), because for humans the here and now is not affected by the future, but the futre here and now will be impacted by the preceeding here and now, which is now, and has been impacted by the past. We have known since 1970 that the eco-system is fragile, but it had a good chance to bounce back with environmental regulations, the same regulations Big Businesses are getting governments to repeal now in favor of their "Improved productivity" i.e cheaper costs to manufacture products to sell.
Even before I had the health of this shell go bad, I decided that I would not pass what I felt were faulty Genetics onto a offspring of mine who would have to deal with increased stress from the low air quality that is coming, the poor to no drinking water, and the food that is better off as fertilizer for real food they will force said offspring to take with their pills.

Re: The Life we Live...
Not everybody wants or has to have kids, Len, we had a lengthy discussion about this a couple of years ago. Don't forget that a big number of pregnancies happen unplanned... children sometimes comes against all odds, my daughter being one of them.
But going back to 'changing to low carbon in 10 years' it could only be possible if the governments start doing things properly and now, for example they should stop subsidizing fossil fuel completely and just back renewable energy 100%.
Remember the ozone problem? There was a global treaty to stop all those chemicals that were harming the ozone layer and it paid off, it took a 'while' but it paid off. The same could be done about the environment. This gives me hope.

WOW, great video, yes he speaks of the truths we all know in our hearts, and those that are more awake than others know this, but many do not.
