I see that the latest Simpson episode has a skit on your Donny and his flowing locks!
It's early days yet. Lots can and will happen between now and the big day! No surprised that Donny is ahead of Jebidaiah the latter in only marginally more intelligent than his bro'.

2016's Race to the Bottom
“Politics ain’t beanbag,” but the Republican race is extremely not beanbag: a mix of Tea Party rally, “Real Housewives” and “Game of Thrones.” It’s about who can be the most offensive, paranoid, petty, xenophobic, apocalyptic and attention-grabbing candidate.
In other words, it’s about Donald Trump, who tops our FIRST TO LAST list of 2016 blunt-force instruments.
How did it get this bad? There are 16 candidates and no frontrunner, so everyone is desperate to be noticed before the first debate, on Aug. 6, which is limited to the top 10 candidates in national polls. Conflict always is king on cable, but especially when GOP candidates aren’t offering big new positive ideas. Campaigns and the coverage are heavily showbiz: vivid soundbites, gotcha videos and TV attack ads. Dark money is a gusher of anonymous venom.
GOP candidates are playing to Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, where two terms of Barack Obama have left Republicans fearful of cultural isolation and cynical about politics and even their own leaders. They want angry, nasty, accusatory, anti-establishment talk. But do they really want Trump? "Party leaders" don’t, but that term's an oxymoron.

I would not be surprised if we are looking at the next president. The thing is, it would not be Donny's fault but the crazy people who follow money and not virtue.

Or maybe just plain old "crazy people". Like attracts like, after all.

Maybe the possibility exist of dislike attracting like, the world is changing, and maybe basic logic is doing the same. It's not time to laugh yet..........

the Republican party got taken over years ago by wacko, then the "Moral Majority religious wingers, and now the Tea Party, and all the crazy and conspiracy nuts there have elected extremists to sit for them.

Wow Tim, there is a jungle out there. You know there is something I have noticed about American Culture. They rally around any, or one thing, that is sensational.
One of the real reason they cannot find a president like Roosevelt, is because they are not honest to themselves. Roosevelt made mistakes but he was honest to himself.
When you look at Trump, you can see the disease of greed almost like viruses sprouting from his being.
He is intoxicated by greed. On the other hand, he could be the answer to America's problem, because they are looking for a scapegoat.
Trump might be the one offering himself, you never know. I am whispering loud.

Sad thing is that the crazy nutters can win elections and they can take the reins of power. That's exactly what we have in Australia. The mad monk and a weak opposition.

A week opposition opens the door for anything to happen.

All carefully designed that way. Konserv and Konservlite is the name of the game today.
Aust has Tony and Bill Shorten dancing together. Canada has Steve Harper and Tom Mulcair, UK has Davy Cameron and Harriet Harmon locked is a tight embrace and we have John Key and Andy Little arm in arm. The US is a real basket case!
The plan is to demolish democracy and replace it with Plutocrats. Doing a fine job of it too.

Umm... the NDP (Mulcair) is nowhere near the right so I'm a bit confused by how you mean he and the Conservatives (Harper) are dancing together?

That's an awfully sweeping generalization though. Can you point to a policy or some event where the right side conservatives and the left side ndp are working hand in hand? Cause... yeah, I'm not seeing any evidence of that.

Tony and Bill might be dancing together but not to the same tune Rock. I think they're in a totally different dance hall.

Re: The Donald for 2016 race
The problem we are having in the west is a lack of interest in voting. Aussie is different as Ockers have to vote, like it or not.
What we are seeing is the two main parties who are supposed to be diametrically opposite are actually very similar in policies. So it doesn't really matter who one votes for. There are some cosmetic changes but the basic policies are almost the same.

Over 40% of Greeks didn't vote in their recent referendum.
