My dad is in ICU right now with congestive heart failure.. and other issues.. I am on standby at the moment whether or not to hop on a plane.. I haven't been home in 7 years.. so it is a big deal.. I am told he is stable atm, but.. should things change, I will be gone.. He may not have ever won the Father of the Year award and he has made so many mistakes, but he is still my dad, and I don't want him to die.. Crying as I type this.. Most in his life have abandoned him... The nurses have said that he has been asking for me nonstop..I finally was put through today to speak with him. I told him I love him and to hang on... Years ago he dedicated this song to me.. so now I dedicate it to him.. Please hang on dad.. I love you unconditionally and I forgive you....
p.s. I may delete all this and just leave the song... not thinking clearly right now.. lack of sleep and too many tears.. so it is a little raw.. but.. leaves it for now..

Walls are coming down and deep healing is taking place.. not just with me.. The nurses weren't sure whether he would live or die, but he seems to be improving.. There are people in my life sending him healing(myself included) and there are people at his side now that haven't been there for him in many many years.. (I had poured my heart out to certain family members..and miraculously they are listening..still in shock that they are..) Many don't feel that my dad deserves love or forgiveness.. but I believe people can change..Love will always be stronger than hate.. Anyway, just felt to give a bit of an update..It seems he had lost the will to live but now that seems to be shifting and I am so grateful. It is never too late to heal. Thank you to those in my life that are giving healing and prayers. Life is too short...

Everyone deserves love, forgiveness, and compassion... regardless if anyone else agrees with certain life choices or not. Sands shift under our feet and all around us, we can't help but be moved with it. I feel like your dad is getting the best care and healing he can, so I'll send some healing and energy your way cause you need it too xo
