Yes Len, you are very right, we don't have a clue why they are bent on getting rid of Assad. They are still in Afghanistan, and Irak without a reason and no idea what they are fighting for. Everything is out of control, with a new problem bursting down the front door by the name Of NK.

Assad has to go because he's stopping an oil pipeline across his patch from Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Emirates to Turkey and on to Europe, cutting out Russia.

Afganistan is about minerals, notably the Rare Earth types. It also has the largest deposit of Lithium Phosphate in the world. The Lithium is easy to mine.
