I agree with Len, in the name of the Bible and its God millions were slaughtered in The Americas and Africa........millions.
Plus in the Bible there are so many stories approving incest, killing infidels, etc.......... I refuse to accept it as a book who defines who I am.

I have my own personal beliefs, those define who I am.

But, I let my kids believe whatever they want to believe.....and even if one of them decides to become a vicar....so be it.

You have to know what Is said by god...not the name i give them btw..and what is said by man

The god's word is unmistakeable imo...man's word is negative...full of greed and manipulation

your anger should not be directed at the scripture...but at your species instead

But you can't just pick and choose..... that's what the preachers do, select parts of the Bible that suits them to create their own branch.

If what you say it's true, there's no way to sieve what's the true message and what's not.

The bible is definitely not the words of god, there may have been words of god right in the beginning when it was first said, but those words have been manipulated and changed by man.

The universal energy (that many call god) would not say such things.

Interesting discussions that spark the mind are always controversial . I pick and choose and sift out Gods words using my heart as a guide . If I'm wrong , only I will pay however there is a chance that I am right . I think that the bible breaths and in breath there is life .

I have nothing against others religions, people should be free to follow whatever path the chose to follow, some people get a lot from the bible. It is just those that take these ancient scripts way too literally and to the extreme. This causes great problems, difficulties and war.
