Nice share! Very bright. I agree, cell phone cameras don't do moon shots all that well.

Re: The Full Moon
Thank you You should as that would be really nice to see.
Orange Moons are brilliant. I love it in particular when the Moon is just rising and atmosphere acts as a magnifying glass - I've not seen that for a while but find it magical whenever I do.
Also, I particularly love Supermoons and Blood Moons, although I know they're much rarer.
I've been trying to work out which month it is that we'll be getting two Full Moons soon, as I've noticed the Full Moon date wandering closer to the start of the month. Maybe December? I'm not sure LOL.

Re: The Full Moon
Wow!! That looks more like a sunset. Stunning!
September 7 was actually the one I missed as I tried repeatedly to take photos of that Moon but the iPhone camera wouldn't focus properly - very strange, it must've been due to atmospheric conditions as the only clear-ish night for that Moon was still a bit hazy here... And I don't like posting out-of-focus pics. So this kinda completes the recent set! LOL!

Re: The Full Moon
Here’s the capture I took earlier on tonight - a bit cloudy, but that actually had the effect of magnifying the Moon on the iPhone camera.
It was an interesting experience as I was in the local park and there were people letting fireworks off near me, and some of the fireworks sounded like they got pretty close...!
Glad I took the photo when I did, because it’s clouded over completely now.

Re: The Full Moon
Kaere and Lion: incredible pictures!!! Thanks for sharing!
I worked last night and I knew there was a full moon even without going outside, just by the residents behaviour (I work in a care home where 90% of residents are elderly and have dementia).

Re: The Full Moon
It is interesting the affect the full moon has on people, even though so many people are quick to say it doesn't. I have heard people here talk of the trouble they have in the mining communities on the nights of full moons. People go crazy!

Re: The Full Moon
I believe it too. There's lots of evidence on the moon affecting our sleep patterns (for example); one scientist held on to his study for four years until he got enough proof of it, and he held on to it because he couldn't believe the results.
So far I have read one study that found a link between dementia and negative behaviours during full moon.

Re: The Full Moon
For some reason, those born under the sign of Scorpio also seem to be particularly affected. True!

Re: The Full Moon
Agreed on the Full Moon affecting how people behave - I've known a few people who've worked in care homes and hospitals, and they've all consistently said that it was easy to tell when there is a Full Moon from how the service users are acting - including more people being admitted to hospital after getting in fights on nights out etc.
It's meant to have an effect on the behaviour of pets too.

Re: The Full Moon
The moon is said to represent the emotions, wonder how we might see that play out on the world stage?
Maybe possibly a time of earthquakes, that's what many have correlated in the the past. Let's see.
