Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song is one which I’ve always found induces strong emotions, although I associate it more with poignancy and sadness than positive emotions, possibly partly due to the context in which it’s been used in various documentaries I’ve watched which feature it.
I feel like it’s haunted me at times, the most recent example being when it got played on the radio when I was listening earlier:
(Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong - Summertime)

I love this track purely because of the infectious happiness and energy in the chorus, which I was reminded of when I heard it again yesterday:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
A song that's haunted me on and off ever since it first came out, and which has a lot of special memories for me of cold, fresh, sunny mornings in October/November 2000, which was a particularly sunny autumn/early winter. Those memories have never faded, no matter how many times I hear the song.
Hearing it on the radio earlier today reminded me again:
(U2 - Beautiful Day)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I have memories of this song from my very early childhood, and I reconnected with it one Friday morning in June 2008 when Chris Moyles played it as a classic track on his Radio 1 breakfast show; I listened to it repeatedly after that, and found I could lose myself in the song and connect with strong memories and feelings.
It's had a special personal meaning for me ever since:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song used to give me amusing mental pictures as a kid, when I used to hear it and take the lyrics literally. Now it's still one I love listening to, as I find it has a lot of quirky character and attitude. I think it's a great feelgood song too, and it's haunted me at times over the years:
And from the video, it looks to me like these guys were the original Scissor Sisters!
(The B-52s - Love Shack)

Heard this song earlier today; I’ve loved it for years, more and more as time has gone on, because of its energy and overall sound:

This song has a huge databurst of childhood memories for me whenever I hear it, as I was reminded this morning - and after checking out the video, this video in itself seems to have some very profound personal messages for me, as well as being mesmerised somewhat by her beauty:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song has tended to get stuck in my head, on and off, for years, although I hadn’t actually heard it at all since my childhood.
The other day I heard it on the radio for the first time for years, and its beauty captivated me in that moment:
(Tanita Tikaram - Good Tradition)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This track got released a few weeks after I started high school, and due to the large number of times I heard it on the radio during that autumn, it always brings back strong memories, feelings and vibes from that extremely positive time whenever I hear it - as I was reminded again this morning:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I was reminded about this song this morning, and how much I loved it when it got released in the late spring of 2003; I've never heard any other song yet which has such an indifferent opening verse leading to such a strong bridge and powerful, beautiful chorus. I connected massively with this song when I first heard it, and I've loved it ever since - there are a lot of special memories and vibes associated with it:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song has been haunting me for weeks now. Whenever I go into a public place where there's a radio playing, it seems to be there. I find that interesting, as although it's a relatively recent song, it was still released a long time ago to be getting so much radio airplay.
I find it very powerful and beautiful, and it evokes strong emotions - although I associate its overall sound more with winter than summer:
(Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This track is one which I've always found very emotive, and I love the message behind it as well as its overall sound; I think it's as relevant as ever today.
Tonight it suddenly burst into my consciousness again, for no particular reason:

I love the Lewis Capaldi song (funny he chose his uncle to act). I have never watched the video before.... I'm crying like a baby...

It's a really powerful song and video, beautiful and heartbreaking all at once - and yeah, the video is so emotive! It's one of the most powerful music videos I've ever seen.Agartha wrote:I love the Lewis Capaldi song (funny he chose his uncle to act). I have never watched the video before.... Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song brings back a lot of memories from May/June 2002 when it was a big hit getting regular radio airplay, and it's followed me about from time to time ever since; in the last few days it's been back in my consciousness again for no particular reason, and then earlier tonight when I was doing some shopping in Asda it got played on the radio there, which reminded me again that it should be posted up here:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
Yeah, it's so catchy It definitely got played a lot when it got the 2002 re-release. Great for dancing to as well, in my experience! I have a lot of memories of dancing to it on nights out.
Quality tuneage!

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This is something different from what I've posted before, but no less significant to me than previous posts; I first remember it being played on TV before a Monaco Grand Prix when I was 7 years old, and thinking the tune was just beautiful and captivating all at once.
Recently it's also figured in some of the most powerful feelings I've felt in connection with Formula 1, in many years of watching the sport, so I think it's appropriate to post it here:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song has haunted me repeatedly over time, starting with when I often used to dance to it on nights out. It's one that often resonated with me when I was a student, particularly in terms of its energy, and I pride myself on being able to sing the falsetto parts perfectly too.
Most recently it came up in my YouTube recommendations tonight, seemingly out of nowhere, which reminded me how good it sounds:
