Stirky, lots of research has been done on the vapour ciggies:

RESULTS:
We found that the e-cigarette vapours contained some toxic substances. The levels of the toxicants were 9 to 450 times lower than in cigarette smoke and were, in many cases, comparable with trace amounts found in the reference product.

Yes as long as the vapours people buy are legit and tested, there are many on the market that probably aren't so safe. But better than cigarettes.

I did hear of a doggie that died after grabbing a bottle of the liquid and piercing it Sad

I wouldn't want little kids to get hold of the bottles either!

Oh no, drinking it would obviously harm anybody, even adults!!

But they have less toxic than real cigarettes,....and they smell nice, I actually love the scent of the vapours, especially the vanilla one.

Yes so much better than real cigarettes, and they seem so easy for people to use and come off real cigarettes, everybody I know that uses one had no problems at all. But they are still getting nicotine so none of the withdrawal symptoms, it's just weaning yourself off them and using them less that is the problem.

Apparently Ebola is not spread by aerosols, only body fluids. So if some-one has it next to you on the bus, you're not likely to get crook. Unless they spit or puke in your pocket!

Compared with SARS and MERS which are spread by aerosols, Ebola is quite difficult for us to catch.

I gave up smoking some years ago (I smoked a pipe for years) by going cold turkey. Nearly went around the twist doing so(well further round than I am already!). Made it out the other end but.

Western Australia has led the country in banning e-cigarettes, even those which do not contain nicotine.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) will hold a tobacco control meeting in Moscow in October to debate the merits of electronic cigarettes, with some doctors arguing in favour of the product.

While many users claim the e-cigarettes, which allow them to inhale a vapour without the smoke, help them to cut down their tobacco habit, Australian health experts are questioning their value.

Last month the WA Supreme Court ruled that e-cigarettes that do not contain nicotine still breached the tobacco control act which prohibits any "food, toy or other product" looking like a cigarette or cigar.

E-cigarettes that contain nicotine liquid are banned across Australia, but are still easily obtainable.

Well, they are still all chemicals.........but not as damaging as real ciggies (they don't destroy the lungs like normal cigarettes, for example).

But you Aussies make me laugh: they are banned but are still easily obtainable.........you are like Italians!! hahaha
