I really hope we'll become independent if Brexit goes ahead, yeah. I think the economic consequences of Brexit will be extreme if it happens, and I think Scotland has the capability and resources to have a strong economy of its own if we did become independent.

Scotland is big enough and rich enough to prosper independently like Norway, for example.

Thank you... I am totally in love with Scotland! I used to love coming here on holidays but now that I live here I have fallen in love with Scots too.

I have always said: if reincarnation is real, I was Scottish in a previous life.

I feel the same way about Italy(And although I've not visited Spain or the other Latin countries yet apart from a short stay in France, I get the overwhelming feeling they would mean just as much to me as well)! It's a special place which I'm very drawn to, and I love the people there too.

I've actually been told before now that I've had past lives in the Mediterranean countries too, and I can totally believe it. They have a naturally welcoming, homely vibe for me.

Meantime, Scotland has acquired a welcome Latina!

I wonder how Brexit will impact the other parts of the UK.
Seems it may not be so UK as uK, or just become England again w/o all the parts involved.

I think Brexit will ultimately trigger the breakup of the UK, yep - the other home nations will progressively split away from England if the UK leaves the EU. Maybe not straight away, but in the space of a few years I can see that process starting.

And Len, I agree with what Lion said.... it's very clear now that the smaller countries are not listened to and everything is always done according to what England wants. That's not fair and it's not just.

Brexit, if it happens, will break up the United Kingdom.

Nah... the DUP has already said they will not vote for it and many MPs will follow. 

To be honest, whatever happens, whether deal or no deal, the UK will be terribly worse than it would be staying in the EU...... and next year Scotland will vote to become independent.

Well, some friends of mine in the UK who are Transgender, and still transitioning are concerned as to what Brexit will do to their therapies and treatments, they worry that they will have to move to more enlightened places or stop their treatments and stay as they are or have the effects of halted treatment revert and set them back to where they were before treatment, in other words, brexit scares them to death. I hope for their sake that won't be the case but the behaviour and attitudes of some of the brexiters is cause for worry.

Yep, the Brexit Election is nearly here! It'll be interesting to see how the votes pan out, although I don't see anybody providing a strong enough challenge to get the Tories out of power... I'm hoping for a miracle and seeing what happens. LOL
