Of course they can... but we follow elections and votes here
I think they should stay in... seems to me that the majority of the arguments have come from the right and a sense of "patriotism" but both sides are coming with a huge helping of fear.

There's talk here that countries like Canada and Australia may indeed benefit from trade if they leave.

Ms Sturgeon said with polling currently showing Britons favouring leaving, Scotland had to again begin thinking about where it wanted to be.

I kinda see that as an excuse to try to get their own way after the failure of the referendum last time... but I can also see their point. An unsettled world...

Yes very unsettled...
http://www.news.com.au/world/europe/uk-labour-mp-jo-cox-shot-stabbed-in-leeds/news-story/c5b6e4106e219b7b40889b22ea70366dBRITISH Labour politician Jo Cox is fighting for her life after being shot and stabbed by a man reportedly shouting ‘Britain First’ just a week out from the Brexit vote.
The Sun reports that eyewitness Hithem Ben Abdallah said Ms Cox got involved in a scuffle between two men in the village of Birstall near Leeds.
Mr Abdallah said one of the men was fighting with Ms Cox and then a gun went off twice and “she fell between two cars and I came and saw her bleeding on the floor.”
After around 15 minutes, the shop owner said emergency services arrived and tended to her with a drip.
Ms Cox has recently pushed for England to remain in the European Union ahead of the June 23 Brexit vote.
Witnesses to the shooting reportedly heard the suspect yell “Britain First,” which could indicate he wants the nation to leave the union.
Both sides of the issue have suspended campaigning in light of the incident.

Re: Brexit Poll - June 23
I just heard about that poor woman who was attacked by this insane man just because she was campaigning to stay in the EU!
Regarding Scotland, months ago, as soon as the referendum date was announced, she said they will push for another Scottish one to see if people want to stay with the UK or Europe (if Brexit wins).

Re: Brexit Poll - June 23
Insanity indeed, Len... killing somebody over a referendum?
She was very vocal regarding her ideas, she wanted developed countries to do more for the refugees, and she paid for her good heart with her life..... sad sad day in the Uk today, I never thought something like this would ever happen here.

Re: Brexit Poll - June 23
Yes it shocking about Jo Cox, awful, she fought strongly for what she believed in.
As for the referendum, people aren't really talking about it a lot tbh, well not that I have eard. I think people have their own views and decided what they want. I have seen a lot more leave boards and posters rather than remain, and I think the leave campaign will win. I think we will be out on Thursday, people have lost all trust in our government and their lies.
I know which at I am voting, but it remains to be seen what will happen after Thursday, nobody really knows either way.

Re: Brexit Poll - June 23
Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't, I think there will be problems if they leave. The only way to avoid some of the problems coming down the road is to run for cover. Sorry but Canada, Australia, Turkey, and quite a few other countries will not benefit if they leave.
Agy, killing that woman was stupidity, because it will not change anything, however that is the way we intelligent clever humans solve our problems.

I still don't know which way it will go, most people 40 and under that I know want to stay in the EU, the older ones want to leave.
But if the UK leaves it will take a loooong time for everything to be set up, as they need to come up with laws and solutions regarding the British living and working in other countries now, regarding the thousands of commercial deals with EU countries, financial etc.

They should have left a long time ago, it's not a good time now. Things have changed for the worst, I believe it will cause big problems now.
