LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Theresa May called on Tuesday for an early election on June 8, saying the government had the right plan for negotiating the terms of Britain’s exit from the European Union and she needed political unity in London.

Sterling rose against the dollar after May made the surprise announcement outside her Downing Street office.

“I have just chaired a meeting of the cabinet where we agreed that the government should call a General Election to be held on the 8th of June,” May said.

Regardless of Brexit (which is the reason why she's doing this) if she wins she will anihilate the NHS and the education system. The Tories have targeted the disable, the poor, the elderly and the most vulnerable.

Whoever votes for the Tories simply to get Brexit, are heartless people without a brain or without economic problems.

I know I am being very judgemental and harsh, but I look after some of those people that the Tories have hurt the most.

Although the systematic destruction of any decent conditions in the dog-eat-dog BEPGs is non binding in theory, in practice, you may very well find that you are highly likely to get destruction of public services and other neoliberal policies(privatisation, flaying the poor, socialize losses and privatize profits, etc ) regardless of who you vote for or what it is they sold you as a promise.

Once out of the EU people can still elect, according to the anti-democracy in which we live, a government that campains on a flay the poor platform, but at least if somehow a government with a different program gets elected, you get a medium-small chance they will deliver on a different program, instead of virtually no chance within the framework of the EU which is even more anti-democratic. IMO, of course.

The Labour party is in disarray with the internal fighting between the Parliamentary bunch thinking that they have to party under their control. Some would even throw the election rather than let Corbyn get in. Time for a big clean out. Dump the rubbish so to speak.

The Blairites are in the wrong party. They should be hooked into the May bunch.
