The facets injection? Used to do that until I got put on blood thinner. For number-five the pain guy wanted to sever nerves. Three anesthesiologists said that might be a bad idea. After the blood thinner, they said further injections would be verboten. Something about hematoma affecting the spinal cord. So ... prednisone keeps me going. Which is bad for retaining calcium ...

Ok, I see the problem here. Tim sees it only through physical eyes and he needs physical evidence to believe in it. You see it only through spiritual eyes and the stories in ancient books are the evidence you need to believe in it.

Is there a middle point where you two can meet?

There's nothing wrong with how you both believe...... but can you meet each other half way instead of bickering?

I can and have. remember how I've stated I believe in none of the above and all three possibilities...

My main concern is that spirituality doesn't belong in a scientific discussion. Because it's not science. There are plenty of other places to discuss it.

I read through all the boards on this and other 4ums including the ones about spiritual beliefs and I find them interesting. Sometimes they get me thinking too.  I don't dismiss them out of hand but I don't regard them as true science. 

Bickering? Nah, it's fun as long as it doesn't get personal.

'No name' you do not seem to believe in evolution, according to what you post.... you have posted that evolution is sort of evil guided by the 'religion of atheism'.

Tim, I believe we can discuss it all at the same time, including beliefs that for you (and others) are just myths. After all, we get new scientific findings that do contradict some old ones..... and here we are, with some evidence but plenty of hypothesis (or theories....).

Evolution has many different meaning and layers, as does religion, as does intervention.

If you name me, you negate me.

By giving me a name, you negate me.

By giving me a name, a label you negate all the other things I possibly can be.

You lock the particle into being a thing, by pinning it down, naming it.

But at the same time you are creating it, defining it to exist.

Creativity is our highest nature, with the creation of things, comes time. Which is what creates the illusion of solidity.......
