My eye's have seen you..........

Re: Biblical Archaeology ..
The facets injection? Used to do that until I got put on blood thinner. For number-five the pain guy wanted to sever nerves. Three anesthesiologists said that might be a bad idea. After the blood thinner, they said further injections would be verboten. Something about hematoma affecting the spinal cord. So ... prednisone keeps me going. Which is bad for retaining calcium ...
Re: Biblical Archaeology ..
Prednisone.......no way.

Check in your Preferences on the site here to see if there's a selection for making avatars, signatures, graphics, etc to be visible. Some forumotion sites have that option but I haven't seen it available for me, perhaps your browser will show something different (but I doubt it). If I were you, I'd use Firefox.

Re: Biblical Archaeology ..
two civilizations.
many light years apart..
helping each other...one calling the other their god...the other their children
what would happen on this planet.
Yeah, I do. We would wipe them out, just like we wiped out the Erectus, the Denisovan, the Neanderthal, the Fomorians, the Tuatha de Danaan, the Nephilim, the giants, the hobbits, the trolls, the coneheads, the followers of the Father and Mother. Seriously, you underestimate our ability to go after the Significant Other. Even our gods engaged in homicide and genocide if you trace them back far enough.

Ok, I see the problem here. Tim sees it only through physical eyes and he needs physical evidence to believe in it. You see it only through spiritual eyes and the stories in ancient books are the evidence you need to believe in it.
Is there a middle point where you two can meet?
There's nothing wrong with how you both believe...... but can you meet each other half way instead of bickering?

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function. -- F. Scott Fitzgerald
Like in every war, debate or hand combat, each engages on behalf of what he believes ... not realizing that by his own lights even the bad guy is "doing the right thing."

Absolutely!!! We always learn from others, from one another... if I discuss something and disagree with you I am not fighting you, I am just challenging my brain really cause nobody has the ultimate truth.
Nobody. Too many darn mysteries still to solve.

The guy who thinks he is in possession of Truth with a capital T is willing to burn you at the stake. The guy on a journey to gather lots of truths with a small t is going to listen to you and challenge you. For some reason, we seem to tolerate and make allowances for the fanatics over the heretics. Strange.

I can and have. remember how I've stated I believe in none of the above and all three possibilities...
Evolution
Creationism
Intervention
(maybe an undefined 4th)
Life is not as simple as people wish it to be.

Agreed.
If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.

Re: Biblical Archaeology ..
No problem.
My main concern is that spirituality doesn't belong in a scientific discussion. Because it's not science. There are plenty of other places to discuss it.
I read through all the boards on this and other 4ums including the ones about spiritual beliefs and I find them interesting. Sometimes they get me thinking too. I don't dismiss them out of hand but I don't regard them as true science.
Bickering? Nah, it's fun as long as it doesn't get personal.
Tim.

Well......
'No name' you do not seem to believe in evolution, according to what you post.... you have posted that evolution is sort of evil guided by the 'religion of atheism'.
Tim, I believe we can discuss it all at the same time, including beliefs that for you (and others) are just myths. After all, we get new scientific findings that do contradict some old ones..... and here we are, with some evidence but plenty of hypothesis (or theories....).

Re: Biblical Archaeology ..
I claim allegiance to no beliefs........
Evolution has many different meaning and layers, as does religion, as does intervention.
If you name me, you negate me.
Evolution has many different meaning and layers, as does religion, as does intervention.
If you name me, you negate me.
By giving me a name, you negate me.
By giving me a name, a label you negate all the other things I possibly can be.
You lock the particle into being a thing, by pinning it down, naming it.
But at the same time you are creating it, defining it to exist.
Creativity is our highest nature, with the creation of things, comes time. Which is what creates the illusion of solidity.......

Can we survive death ? What is the nature of our consciousness ?
“Beyond Our Sight” is an independant documentary that talks
about near-death experiences, human consciousness,
and the possibility of communication with other dimensions.

Fascinating video VM/Omega but it's not Science. And it's certainly not Archaeology, that is the study of Human history. The video has nothing to do with Human history mate. It belongs in the Spirituality and Beliefs Board.

Rock you really need professional help. Your narcissistic personality disorder is quite extreme and destructive. Time to address those demons... I'm being very honest with you, no game playing or manipulation.
