I agree with Rock, it's not beyond our power and control.... to say that it's just the easy way out. We are pumping a lot of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, we cannot deny it.

It doesn't matter, climate change is not due to human activity. We do not control the climate on this planet. Worldwide climate change is beyond us mortals.

Ice cores show atmospheric CO2 variations to lag behind atmospheric temperature changes on a century to millennium scale.

Pierre-Marie Luc Robitaille (born 1961) is an accomplished radiologist and a failed wannabe physicist. As Director of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Research for the Department of Medicine of Ohio State University from 1989-2000^[1] he made major advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), leading the project to build the 8 Tesla Ultra High Field human MRI scanner.
In 2000 he was asked to step down from his position as director (though he remains a professor) when he began to espouse ideas that were "outside his realm of expertise", specifically related to non-mainstream beliefs in the areas of astronomy and physics: he maintains that satellite measurements of the cosmic microwave background radiation, believed by most astronomers to be an afterglow of the Big Bang, are actually observations of a glow from Earth's oceans. (Yes, presumably satellites millions of miles from Earth and pointed away from it that can see the CMB don't exist.) He also maintains that the sun is not a gaseous plasma, but is in fact made of liquid metallic hydrogen. None of his ideas have been accepted by any reputable physics publication.
Robitaille has been presented as a physicist, cosmologist and even an astrophyisicist, though anyone who has gained actual credentials in these fields would beg to differ. Criticism of his crank ideas range from accusations of cherry picking evidence to a failure to understand even rudimentary thermodynamics.
In 2002 Robitaille and his wife paid for a full page ad in the Sunday New York Times,^[2] detailing his microwave and sun hypotheses. Mainstream astronomers reviewed and dismissed Robitaille's claims as "untenable" and "completely wrong".^[3] The incident raised questions about the New York Times' policy for printing paid advertisements without checking them for reasonable factual validity. The Times ad cost nearly a year of Robitaille's salary. When asked why he didn't just put it on arXiv, he replied that he didn't know it existed. Although he eventually found his way to viXra^[4] and pseudojournal alternative science journal Progress In Physics.
He has since continued to spam non-crank physicists with his ideas, particularly one email run in 2009 widespread enough for recipients to discuss it amongst themselves.^[5] His work has also been latched onto for support from the fringier global warming denialists.^[6] He is also admired by electric universe advocates: he spoke at the 2014 Electric Universe Conference on his microwave and sun theories.^[7]

Interesting study that completely ignores the satellite data.

This site shows the experiment done by John Tyndall in 1860 or thereabouts, proving that CO2 absorbs heat and acts like a blanket over the planet. He coined the term, 'Greenhouse gas'.

Scott Fitzgerald once remarked, " There is a concerted conspiracy by scientists to cover up the truth about Global Warming but it was uncovered by plucky small group of Billionaires and Oil/Coal company Executives".

It is not that global warming and climate change are due to a deliberate "Oh let us mess with the atmosphere" more along the lines of absent minded, no thought given accidents. More like when a pipeline or tanker leaks oils into the environment and does damage, well consider all that smoke our cars/trucks/limos/trains/planes and factories w/o emission controllers and then even with leaked the gas CO2 into the atmosphere doing it's damage. The EPA forced emission devices for factories and cars, (Corporations balked at an fought these in America) yet they still managed to make profits and stay profitable nonetheless. Scientists have found ways to capture the carbon in natural sources, but well, humanity is hell bent on release of CO2.

Science caused the issue, science with no restrictions at the behest of the corporate owners of the technology.

Science might be able to work on fixxing it as it is not a "godly" problem nor solution needed to fix things.

For years we as people never gave a thought to what happens to the rubbish we throw away, so we dumped it into the seas or poured it into the air. We are now reaping the rewards of doing that. But we can't go cold-turkey either, that would create chaos in our economies so we must do something now or we are leaving it up to our children and grandchildren who didn't create the issue in the first place. Why should our descendants pay the price for our folly?

Oh I am doing that already..... I spend time in the forest or by the beach to quieten my mind..... I play in the dirt or sand with the children.... I walk barefooted on grass..... and I have also changed my gas and electricity suppliers to a company that is 100% green, it costs me a bit more but my mind is more at peace.

Just more of the reasons to not have spawned descendants, besides loading a heap of health issues on them, I by not having kids also will not have any of my own to live miserably through the coming down turn of the biosphere, no descendants of mine to have to sell their soul for a bottle of air to breathe, or water to drink, recycled from their own piss. No poo burgers which is one fate I foresee, that and soylent green becoming a reality

Based on the Old Testament,,,the Great Flood was God's doing. This time around will be fire, not water.

The general consensus of opinion is that at the end of the last Ice Age the planet warmed up rapidly, in a decade or so from cold to warm.

People living along the shores would have seen the sea rise but it wouldn't have been a flood or a tsunami! Just a slow but steady rise and they would have had to move inland.
