Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This has always been my favourite track on the Drones album, I’ve always been very drawn to the lyrics as well as the overall sound. Today I’ve had it in my head all day, so think it’s a good time to post it up here:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I've had this song in my head relentlessly for the last few days, and I'm not sure why... I remember connecting with it when I was a kid, because I thought the lyrics were funny - but it's never haunted me, probably not till now at least. Anyways, it obviously made a more profound impression before than I realised:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song is one I loved and listened to on repeat when it first came out, not just because Green Day were my favourite band at the time but because of the message behind the song - it was the time when I was at my most passionate(So far) about American politics too.
Last night I watched a new BBC documentary on American art, which featured the presenter stabbing a Trump flier with a pitchfork. I saw this just before I fell asleep. In a lurid dream I heard this song playing, although I hadn't actually heard it for months. In my dream I actually started thinking(!!) how the lyrics are actually even more applicable to Trump than they were to Bush. So thought it should go here now... It was overdue to be in a playlist of mine anyway:
Yeeaaahhh!!
(Green Day - American Idiot)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I've always loved this track mainly for the tune and beat, although the lyrics have had a personal resonance at times, and I like the pun in the title too. In recent days it's been in my consciousness a lot:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This track has come back into my consciousness in the last day or so; I connected powerfully with it, and was deeply moved by it, when it first came out. As well as finding the chorus biographical, I love its lyrics and melody:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This track is one I initially remembered as part of the soundtrack of my childhood, and more recently I've had great memories of dancing and listening to it on nights out. It always brings back very specific vibes and feelings associated with the time when it originally came out, as if it has an aura somehow:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This one has been haunting me a bit lately, as it's been consistently getting shown on the classic TopOfThePops episodes BBC4 have been showing; it's a song I've always felt a strong personal connection with, although I've never really understood why yet. I have personal childhood memories of it due to Celine Dion's version being released and played on the radio when I was a kid, and it was one of my earliest experiences of connecting with a song. I think there's a particular strong energy and emotional beauty to it:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This track originally came into my consciousness when a friend from school added me on MySpace back in May 2007 and the song was on her profile page. (I remember well, I'd just come in from a night out and checked MySpace before going to bed; that's when I saw the friend request, as she'd obviously added me during the night. I'd been drinking as per usual on a night out, and maybe that made me more sensitive to the music, I dunno. But the song got stuck in my head for days after that!)
I've always loved the song since, and I find the best way to appreciate it is to zone out and let it wash over me; I love its magical and mystical sound:
(Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This tune is one that first came into my consciousness a couple of years ago when I started Spotifying all the classic NOW! albums, starting with the first one and listening to them in chronological order. I absolutely loved it the very first time I listened to it, and since then it's haunted me on and off, including recently when it kept being featured on the classic TopOfThePops repeats I was watching. The melody and lyrics evoke powerful feelings - soul feelings, it seems like - and I always find it a very emotive track to listen to:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I took a while to really get into this song, but after I heard it a few times on nights out and also read about the true meaning behind the song(promoting togetherness), I really loved it. It's got some good personal memories for me too, especially of doing the funny dance with loads of other people on nights out:

This song is one which I connected strongly with on an emotional level when I first heard it, and over time it's haunted me a lot too. I find it very powerful in a profound way:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This track came into my consciousness a couple of years ago when I was watching BBC4 in the café area of the Travelodge I was staying in at the time, and a music documentary came on which featured it; I was immediately drawn to it, and I loved the tune and beat in spite of its apparent cheesiness. It's haunted me at times too in the 2 years or so since, and tonight the same documentary featuring it got shown again:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This is a song I always liked when I was growing up because I loved the beat and melody, and I remember seeing the video when I was about 13 and liking it too. In recent weeks it's been in my head a lot, although I'm not sure why:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This came up in my YouTube recommendations tonight, and listening to it reminded me of a lot of good childhood memories I have which are connected with it, as well as times since it originally came out when it has haunted me and I've reconnected with it as a result:

I connected with this song very strongly when it originally came out, although at that time I only connected with the tune, not the words; in recent years it's haunted me at times, and the lyrics have taken on a profound personal meaning too, in various ways.
I feel an overall strong connection with it:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song jumped out at me when I first listened to the Nevermind album, and I ended up connecting strongly with it in November/December 2003 when I was going through a particularly difficult time; I found it to be a source of inspiration and strength, somehow. It's haunted me too at times since then:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I've been a big fan of Ke$ha from the start, and this is my favourite song of hers; I connected with it immediately when I first heard it, loved the tune as well as the lyrics.
It's never really haunted me(yet), but it's a track I've always been very drawn to:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song made a profound impression on me when it first came out in October of 2008(I think), and it was in my head on and off for months afterwards. I love the beat in the main part of the song, and the opening and ending parts of it resonate with me too, although I find those bits more eerie than anything else. The vibe of it(As well as the vibe of the video) has resonated powerfully with me over time too:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
Although this track did get released as a single, I only remember listening to it after I downloaded the album to get Under Cover Of Darkness: I listened to every track on the album but this is the only other one which jumped out at me; I only found out it was a single quite recently. I was hugely drawn to it, particularly when I heard the chorus. There have been times in the last few years when it's haunted me as well:
