Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I grew up listening to All Saints' cover version of this song, but when I finally discovered the original years later I absolutely loved it; everything about it, but especially its overall intensity and vibe, which I feel strongly everytime I listen to it.
I consider it a thoroughly beautiful and massively expressive song:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
One of my first childhood memories of connecting with a rock song was of hearing this song and loving its quick tempo and raw sound, and over time it's grown on me more and more, as I've begun to appreciate more different aspects of it:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
For me, this is simply one of the most powerful and emotive songs ever written and recorded; I have vague memories of it from childhood, but it was years later, when I bought the Cross Road album and listened to the song in depth, that it really struck me.
Over time, it's gained great personal resonance for me too, as I feel like I've been in exact situations which Jon Bon Jovi describes in the song itself:
(Bon Jovi - Bed Of Roses)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I first connected with this song properly back in 2011, and I've been very drawn to its sound ever since; I feel it has an almost mystical quality, and am impressed by how fresh and contemporary it still sounds, even today.
I find it's a great song for losing myself in and just letting the song wash over me:
(The Who - Baba O'Riley)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I first came across this track in February 2002 when I was listening to a 60s compilation CD, and ever since then it's been a guilty pleasure, as I've found it particularly amusing:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I first connected with this song when I bought a copy of Disraeli Gears in July 2003, and since then it's always tended to get into my head easily, as well as haunting me at times:

This song has made a big subconscious impression on me over time, mainly through regularly hearing it on nights out:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I first discovered this track while I was watching a documentary that featured the Telstar satellite, but when I listened properly to it in full after that, I felt the most amazing subconscious feelings stirring deep down within me - as if I'd heard this track before, a long time ago, even though I have no conscious memory of that. It was magical!
Makes me realise, now I remember it, that it needs to be posted up here:
(The Tornados - Telstar)

Possibly the most breathtaking and moving live performance I've heard so far, and one I've been massively drawn to ever since I first heard it:

This song has come up in my YouTube recommendations recently, and it's one which I've always had a soft spot for, as well as feeling it has a personal resonance:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
One of my favourite Blondie songs overall, and one which I've connected strongly with over time; I first remember being drawn to it in November 2002 when a local radio station played the bilingual version on Blondie's Greatest Hits album. It was late one night, and the song came on the radio as I was falling asleep; I loved its melody.Â
I connected more powerfully with it in the late spring of 2010, and on listening closely to it, I found it stirred really strong positive feelings, which have stayed with me ever since:
(Blondie - Sunday Girl)

I've been particularly drawn to this - more than any other ABBA song - for years, and I find the lyrics especially touching:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I first became aware of this song in mid-2016 when it was being regularly played in my local 24H McDonald's at nights when I was spending a lot of time there; I found it massively moving and I found I connected with it strongly on an emotional level whenever it got played:

Just came across this in my YouTube recommendations: A tribute to my favourite/most meaningful era of F1, also set to a Queen song I really like! A beautiful surprise:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song has a lot of personal memories for me from September/October 2005, when it was regularly getting played on Radio 1; I loved its unusual sound and was very drawn to it, and connected strongly with its vibe:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song brings back a plethora of memories and vibes from the early spring of 2005, including mental pictures it painted for me when it was a new release and I first heard it on the radio. As well as this, there are many great memories which I have of hearing this song on nights out since, and associated positive emotions:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
The Police original is considered more iconic, but this is the version I grew up with, and thus the version which has more personal memories for me; it was one of the first songs I remember connecting with emotionally, and I found it very moving.
Last night it got played in the restaurant I was having my tea in, and it reminded me:
(Puff Daddy - I'll Be Missing You)
