Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song just came up in my YouTube recommendations, and it’s one which I loved when it got released as a single here in the late spring of 2002 - partly because I liked the overall sound of the song itself and partly because I already fancied her from when she played Flick in Neighbours.
A lot of interesting personal memories became imprinted in the song for me from when it was in the charts, and those memories get brought back into my consciousness whenever I listen to it now:
(Holly Valance - Kiss Kiss)

I loved the rhythm, beat and tempo of this song when it came out as a single, and I found the lyrics interesting too. Lately it's been brought back into my consciousness by a TV advert which features it:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
When I first heard this song get played on local radio in July 2002 I immediately loved its unusual and creative sound, and it soon came to be one of the songs which characterised that summer for me, as it tended to get into my head easily too.
Just last night it suddenly came back into my consciousness for no particular reason:
(Darius - Colourblind)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song had a big emotional impact for me when it got released as a single; I clearly remember it getting played on Radio 1 during the afternoons in November/December 2010(That winter had a lot of beautifully sunny if very cold days) and being very moved by it. I was massively drawn to the lyrics as well as the melody.
It's always had a special place in my feelings ever since:

I immediately loved this song when it started getting regular radio airplay in May 2012, and I've particularly liked dancing to it on nights out ever since as well:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I discovered this song - and video - via Last FM in early 2015, and immediately connected very strongly with the song's overall sound, in what felt like a subconscious connection. I've found that it's tended to get into my head easily ever since too:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I immediately loved this song when it got released as a single in September 2005, and have some great memories of dancing to it on nights out. It's become instantly recognisable to me purely by its sound even on a subconscious level, especially the opening chords:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This track has a lot of great memories for me from when it got released here as a single, in January 2003 - it's actually one of the very few singles so far which I've bought on vinyl, as opposed to CD, purely because it was available in the shops in that format:
(Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This was the song that first got me into The Hives’ music, as I first listened to it in August 2002, and I remember thinking it sounded very 60s, even though it was a contemporary song - which in turn made me realise that retro in itself is contemporary, thus educating me in music and broadening my musical horizon.
It just came up in my YouTube recommendations now, as a cue to post it here:
(The Hives - Hate To Say I Told You So)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I remember also having my eyes opened musically by this song when it got released in April 2007; it was a particularly warm and sunny April when my life also happened to be going through positive changes, and in many ways this track has become symbolic of that time for me - there are a lot of positive memories associated with it:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I first connected with this song in April 2002, when I first listened to the album it was on, and I immediately loved its tempo and overall sound, but I soon grew to like the lyrics a lot too:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I was immediately drawn to this song when it got released as a single in April 2007, not just because I loved its overall sound, but because I felt an intense personal resonance with the lyrics, which described many of my own relationship experiences pretty accurately at that point:
(P!nk - Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely))

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song recently came up in my YouTube recommendations, and it's one which I've been a big fan of ever since it came out as a single in October 2004 - for its overall sound, but also for the lyrics:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
A song which has had a massive emotional draw for me for years, and as time has gone on I’ve only loved it more and more - the sound of it, the lyrics too:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
Heard this song on the radio the other day, which prompted me to reconnect with it; I loved it when it first started getting radio airplay here in August 2008, it sounded fresh, different and fun to me. Then I saw the video, and immediately loved it too:

I heard this song on the radio the other day too, and it brought back a lot of memories from the early months of 2011, when it was getting played on the radio a lot, and I connected quite strongly with it.
Also it's probably overdue for a Jessie J song in my playlist, as I think she's brilliant:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
Possibly my favourite song on the Rubber Soul album; I was deeply moved by its melody as well as by some of the lyrics, and I got a profound and touching sense of melancholy from it, as it made a big emotional impact, which has endured over a long time:
(Beatles - Nowhere Man)
