Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I've loved this song ever since it first came out - its lyrics, its rawness, its energy. I've always felt very drawn to its vibe and I've always connected strongly with it:

I love this!! The newest addition to the playlist so far, as I've already connected with it, I think it's beautiful:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I've been looking for an excuse to post this here, as an interlude to the more intense stuff: Think my flat situation has just provided it!
I thought this was hilarious when I first saw it as an extra feature on the Series 1 DVD:
(Look Around You - Little Mouse)

I've always felt a connection with this song, but never been able to understand it; I heard the song again the other night, and after analysing the lyrics, it suddenly clicked - it conveys so many of the strong emotions I've felt and connected with over time(As well as having a beautiful melody!).
It feels awesomely expressive:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This is a song I connected with very strongly in the late summer of 2001, when it was regularly getting radio airplay as well as video rotation on music video channels(And I remember watching it a number of times on Channel 6 in Dundee, which was dedicated to playing music videos). I've mentioned before that I felt a massive sense of melancholy later that summer, and this song linked in with that, as I listened to it and watched the video many times.
I still find it very expressive:

This track reminds me of the summer I was finishing high school and looking forward to Uni, when I connected strongly with its overall sound; whenever I hear it now - as I did earlier on tonight - I find it brings back a lot of memories from that time:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
When I hear this song it brings back an intense databurst of memories from February/March 2002, and if I lose myself in it I'm transported back... There are other memories associated with it as well as the sound of the song itself, such as memories of watching the video on Channel 6, and reading about who Shakira was in a copy of FHM which I was given to read in the hair salon in February 2002, when I was there getting highlights put in my hair.
It has a very distinctive and memorable sound too IMO, which helps it accumulate strong memories:
(Shakira - Whenever, Wherever)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I connected very strongly with this song when it came out here in May 2008, I loved its tune and vibe massively, and I even thought about recording a cover version of it, as it inspired such strong positive feelings.
Lately I've reconnected with it due to hearing it playing in Asda a number of times, and a lot of nice memories come back when this happens. I've also been haunted by it on YouTube, since it's consistently come up in my recommendations:
(Gabriella Cilmi - Sweet About Me)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I heard this song earlier tonight, and it brought back a flood of childhood memories associated with the time when it was originally in the charts; just like it does everytime I hear it, but tonight it was particularly strong, and included actual vivid visions of things I saw on an everyday basis in November/December 1996, which surprised me a bit - it always amazes me how music can trigger things like that.
Makes me realise, also, that this song belongs in the playlist:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I've always felt a strong affinity with this song, ever since it came out, and various lyrics in the song have jumped out at me at different times, starting with the opening verse when the song first got released, and changing and evolving over time; more and more, the overall theme of the song has resonated with me too.
It's also haunted me at times, including recently:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I felt very drawn to this track when it first got released in the late summer of 2003, as I found it very expressive on a personal level in terms of the title and lyrics, and I loved its melody too.
Recently it came back into my immediate consciousness for the first time for years, and I found out the official video has just been posted up on YouTube after all this time; I sense a kind of synch there too:
(Amy Studt - Under The Thumb)

In terms of sheer emotional intensity, this is simply one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard so far. There are a plethora of personal memories associated with it:

I've always particularly loved this song, and earlier tonight it figured really strongly in a dream I had, which included feeling like I actually heard most of it; think this is a good time to post it here:

I love the rhythm, tempo and beat of this track, as well as the lyrics; I've been a fan of it ever since it first got released, and found it's always got into my head pretty easily:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This one has really grown on me lately - I've heard it a number of times, and something has clicked subconsciously for me. I love her voice so much, the way she sings this particular song.
It resonates strongly, although I'm not sure why yet:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
It feels like this song has haunted me over time(Although since it's so popular and liable to get played a lot, it could just be that that's what's been happening), and it feels like it's had a major background musical presence for me, starting with my childhood years, when my sister used to play it a lot and I kinda got involuntarily introduced to it that way - especially imprinting the sound of the opening guitar chords, which still make me think of my childhood whenever I hear them.
More recently, many great memories of various nights out in values have become attached to it too, and it's been a fairly constant musical presence for me in that respect.
Hearing it again by chance earlier tonight brought all this back for me:
(Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This song was a constant presence in my everyday life in the weeks after I first started Uni, due to it getting released about that time, and it became synonymous with all the new and exciting experiences involved with that.
Hearing it again the other night, for the first time for ages, reminded me:
(Justin Timberlake - Like I Love You)

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I first discovered this song in February 2002 when I got myself a copy of Queen's News Of The World album, and I immediately found it resonated massively with me on a personal level, as if it had a personal message; it actually made me pretty emotional when I heard it the first few times.
It's been one of my favourite songs on a personal level ever since:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
This tune has epic memories for me of the summer of 2003, when I was out clubbing literally 5 nights a week and going bonkers, sometimes with friends, sometimes solo. It's a musical memory of a summer which I really lived.
It's always been a personal anthem and one of my favourite headbanging songs ever since:

Re: TrueCrazyLion's Playlist
I've felt a connection with this song ever since I first heard it, and I have strong positive memories of hearing it on sunny mornings in June 1997, which was a particularly warm and sunny June, and a relatively positive and interesting time in my childhood too.
I love its Motown-influenced sound, and it seems to have haunted me over time as well:
